Getting my drive onPosted Thursday, March 5, 2009, at 11:00 AM
Last night I went up to Park Hills to see Dexter beat Farmington and tonight I will be on the move as well. I am headed down to Clarkton to watch the Reindeer face Risco in the Class 1 District 1 final, a team they split regular season meetings with at 1-1.
Friday, I am headed up to Jefferson College in Hillsboro to cover the semifinal round of the Region XVI tournament as the Raiders face Moberly at 6 p.m. before State Fair and Mineral Area tip off at 8 p.m. If the Raiders win on Friday, I will head back up to Hillsboro on Saturday for a game that will tip at 7 p.m. I will be writing on deadline that night so it would be nice if the game goes quickly. The Raiders have beat each of the other region teams in the regular season two times. The Region XVI winner will play a District Playoff game on Tuesday at the winner of Region IV. The winner of that game will advance to the National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kan. Comments Showing most recent comments first [Show in chronological order instead] |

You seem to have a lot of resentment against Cookson. Have you ever voiced your concerns to him or atleast told him what you think of him in person? I imagine it would probably be a heckuva lot more helpful for your cause than to rant on here. Also I am pretty sure it was Hollida who made the "Africa" remark.
Getting back to basketball, who is the favorite to win Region IV and how would they stack up against the Raiders?
I guess Steve Cookson will be going to Hillsboro to cheer for "those African" players. Nottttt! I'm sure we would have a much better chance to win, or at least certainly more fans if we had more of our "local" players on the team.
What an embarrassment he is to our college & community!
