OFC ppd. for Monday

Posted Monday, February 8, 2010, at 11:20 AM

Doniphan AD Jimbo Blackwell said this morning that Monday's games will be moved back a day due to the 2-4 inches of snow falling in the area and the numerous school closings.

So the first semifinal for the boys and girls bracket will be moved to Tuesday night with same game times while Wednesday night, which was originally an open date, they will play the second semifinal games for each gender.

Blackwell said if schools are still out Tuesday, the games still could be played at night if the highways are safe.

I'll keep you all posted on here as I get word on what's going on.

I'd say the chances of playing Tuesday night are not good. But time will tell. I may attend this tournament at some point. I'd like to see Clearwater play.

Rob Tate's response:
It's not suppose to snow at all tomorrow so that will give a lot of time for the roads to be worked on. The only thing that might work against the main highways getting cleared is the temperature will be below freezing. It's pretty much a clear shot the rest of the week from the weather report I saw so I think they are gonna try their very best to get the games in Tuesday despite schools being out.
