This is completely unrelated to the 'which paper covers which schools' debate in the forums right now but I just wanted to put out there the Daily American Republic's Bloomfield Christmas Tournament championship game in Friday's print edition.

For the first time since 1982, the DAR didn't have a team from it's coverage area play for the championship at the BCT so last night was a pretty rare occurrence for myself to cover a game between schools I don't report on regularly.

Just wanted to point out to Kennett and Portageville fans that in addition to the great coverage by Dustin Ward of the Daily Dunklin Democrat and Brent Shipman of the Sikeston Standard Democrat that we have a game story on last night's game as well. As far as I'm aware we do have a newspaper box in Kennett (don't have an exact business it's located at though) or they should have some copies in Malden, Campbell or Clarkton if you were looking to get your hands on one. Congrats to the Indians on their 'Tribe-fecta'.
