2012 Black River League Baseball Tournament *SCHEDULE CHANGE*

Van Buren dropped out of the BRL tournament due to lack of players next week so here is a revised schedule.

Monday, April 30
(1) Clearwater -- Bye
(4) South Iron vs. (5) Winona, noon

(2) Ellington vs. (7) Bunker, 10 a.m.
(3) East Carter vs. (6) Lesterville, 2 p.m.

Tuesday, May 1
Clearwater vs. South Iron/Winona winner, noon
Ellington/Bunker winner vs. East Carter/Lesterville winner, 2 p.m.

Thursday, May 3
Third place, 2 p.m.
Championship, 4 p.m.

Yeah, Austin and Joel are putting together a good season. Joel had a complete game shutout earlier this year where he got 15 strikeouts. The offense has been getting very timely hitting also, have some power in the line up too.

Rob, would you say Clearwater is the favorite here, they have beat all of these teams so far this spring?

I would have to agree to that seems how they beat the No. 2-seed Whippets so handily in late March and about two weeks ago handled No. 3 East Carter at home. The Tigers have certainly got two great starters to win a tournament like this in Austyn Hovis and Joel Koenig.

Really looking forward to the Wayne County battle with Greenville on Monday with Class 2 District 2 implications on the line.
