Highlights from Rachel's days in college include having a class down the hall from Chase Daniel and having NCAA wrestling champion Ben Askren hold the door open for her at Brady Commons, Mizzou's student center. She spent time covering Mizzou basketball, softball and baseball while working for the Columbia Missourian and is excited to return home to Southeast Missouri to cover local sports for semoball.com.
Rachel has covered three Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournaments for the Southeast Missourian and semoball.com, and she'll see you courtside again this year.
Cardinals postseason on semoball
The traditional lead here is to say that the St. Louis Cardinals start postseason play tonight against the Los Angeles Dodgers at 8:37, but since you all already know that I'll get to the point.
Whenever there is a Cardinals playoff game going on, I'll be here on semoball watching with you. I will be live-blogging during each game and there will be an in-game thread in the forums. (If you want to talk about the playoffs in general drawmules has started a thread here: http://semoball.com/forums/cardinals/thread/459 )
Way back in the day I had a Cardinal blog on the MLB network and I did several live blogs during games. My favorite thing to do was point out a couple Al Hrabosky overstatements and a couple of his most obvious statements (E.g. "When you walk a batter to lead off an inning, that's not good." Thanks, Al. Good point!).
Naturally, I'm a little sad that won't be an option tonight (Although I can't who will be in the booth tonight, anybody know?), but I'll try to keep you entertained and informed as the game goes along anyway.
I'll also be pulling in comments from the blog as well as the in-game thread that I find particularly entertaining or pertinent into my blog, and I'll be posting in the forums and comments as well.
So, please join us tonight and every day/night the Cardinals are playing this postseason. It's a great way to watch the game because you can scream at the TV in the privacy of your own living room while also calmly discussing the game with other fans!
If any of you are lucky enough to be heading up to the games over the weekend, please come back and share your experience and your pictures on semoball.
