MVC Tourney Part 1Posted Friday, February 5, 2010, at 8:32 AM
Well, last night was fun! The JV started off the Thursday night games with a victory against Meadow Heights.
The Varsity faced off against Zalma. The game started off a little scary with Leopold trailing in the first half until David Fluchel making a tremendous shot at the buzzer to tie it up. After halftime (and an awesome routine by us if I say so myself!) the Wildcats and Bulldogs came out fighting and going back and forth tying the score up and letting the Wildcats lead. The fourth quarter came around and Leopold got a comfortable/nail-biting lead of six to win the game. Leopold will face off against the Oak Ridge Blue Jays at 8:30 in what will guarantee to be an exciting rematch for the championship. Would't it be awesomeif the game could be played before the scc & sikeston game. Talk to Mr. Urhahn or your AD to see if it is possible. I'll do the same.
That would be awesome seeing as how I want to go! However, the JV (our JV at that!!) championship is playing before the big LHS-ORHS showdown. Plus! I wouldn't be able to make it to that if they move the JV game up and I really have to be a that! So, I highly doubt they would move the games up. Plus, wouldn't it be up to Chaffee to do that?
