Southeast's Brown named conference's Co-Runner of the Week

Southeast Missouri State junior cross country runner Shane Brown was named the Ohio Valley Conference Male Co-Runner of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.

Brown finished first in the Redhawks' season opener. He won the men's 6K at the Gabby Reuveni Early Bird hosted by Washington University in St. Louis on Saturday with a time of 19 minutes, 23 seconds.

The Southeast men's team finished second at the meet.

Brown shares the conference's first weekly cross country honor with Tennessee Tech's Geoffrey Sambu.
