Six ND baseball players earn MHSBCA all-state honors
The Notre Dame baseball team had six players named to the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 4 all-state team, including seniors Adam Pope, Christian Job, Dean Crippen and Chase Urhahn, who each earned first-team honors.
The Bulldogs, who defeated Sullivan 17-0 for the Class 4 championship earlier this month, were also represented by two second-team pitchers in seniors Graham Ruopp and Hunter Eftink.
Class 1 state champion Bell City was led by sophomores Austin Hicks (pitcher) and Bobby Wright (catcher) on the first team, while Oran senior Jacob Priggel (outfielder) was named to the second team.
Bell City junior Nate Finney (infielder), Oran senior Hunter Schlosser (outfielder) and Bell City sophomore Cole Nichols (utility) were each named honorable mention.
Class 3 runner-up Scott City was represented by sophomore Braden Cox (pitcher) and junior Trent Pobst (outfielder) on the first team, while Malden senior Toby Miller (pitcher), Malden senior Parker McCormick (catcher), Scott City sophomore Dylan Keller (outfielder) and Malden freshman Donterrian Triplett (utility) each earned second-team honors. Malden junior Chapen Riley (outfielder) was an honorable mention.
East Carter senior catcher Trever Lewis earned first-team honors to lead the Class 2 all-state team, while Greenville sophomore Trey McDaniel (pitcher), Greenville junior Tryton Tompkins (catcher) and Neelyville senior Cody Birdsong (infielder) were named to the second team.
Bernie senior Devin Trammell (pitcher), East Carter senior Logan Saffle (pitcher), Greenville senior Devon Duncan (outfielder), Neelyville senior Braden Dennis (outfielder) and Bernie junior Brock Beacham (utility) were each named honorable mention.
Jackson senior Michael Houchin (pitcher) was also named honorable mention in Class 5.
