Semoball in CoMo: Day 3 recap

Senior Brianna Mueller scored a game-high 20 points, as Saxony Lutheran dropped a 50-46 decision against Strafford in the Class 3 state championship. Despite a late comeback attempt, the Crusaders fell behind in the first quarter and were never able to fully recover. Crane won its fourth straight Class 2 state title, defeating Neelyville 78-57. Lexie Vaught had a triple-double, finishing with 22 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in the victory.

Mound City defeated Naylor 59-43, handing the Eagles their second consecutive second-place finish at state in as many years. Callee Pickrell notched a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards to lead Naylor.
