Notre Dame's Sam Brennan signs with Benedictine College

Notre Dame senior Sam Brennan signed a letter of intent to play basketball at NAIA Benedictine College on Friday.

Brennan is a three-year starter for the Bulldogs and averaged a team-high 10.6 points per game last season. She also led the team with 2.7 assists per game.

This season, Brennan helped lead the Bulldogs to a third-place finish at the inaugural SEMO Conferecne Tournament. Notre Dame is 3-1 and plays at St. Joseph Academy on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Brennan also starred for the Notre Dame volleyball team, which advanced to the district championship this year.

Last year, Benedictine College advanced to the Fab Four, the NAIA's version of the Final Four, and finished the season 29-7. The Ravens have played in three of the last four NAIA Div. 1 Basketball Championship tournaments.

Benedictine College is located in Atchison, Kansas.
