Chaffee outfielder Abbi Brown signs with Shawnee CC

Chaffee senior Abbi Brown signed a letter of intent to play softball at Shawnee Community College on Tuesday.
As an outfielder, Brown batted .353 this past season with 10 RBIs and 20 runs. She was an All-District selection and honorable mention All-Conference.
Brown also had a .382 on-base percentage and stole 10 bases in 11 attempts. This past season, the Red Devils lost to eventual state champions Van Buren in the Class 1 District 1 final.
Shawnee Community College is located in Ullin, Illinois. Former Southeast Missouri State softball coach Lana Richmond directs the team, which went 10-25 last year.
