Perryville's Dylan Jannin signs with Webster University
Perryville senior Dylan Jannin signed a national letter of intent Friday to play men's soccer at Webster University.
Jannin was a Class 2 Co-Defender of the year as a junior but missed his senior season due to a partially-torn ACL injury. Jannin was also a Class 2 first-team selection as a junior.
Throughout his high school career, Jannin also earned All-Conference, All-District, and All-Region honors, along with the All-Region Defensive Player of the Year award. With Jannin leading the back line, Perryville won its first-ever boys soccer state championship, capturing the Class 2 crown in 2014 and finishing with a 24-5 record. The following year, Jannin's junior season, Perryville finished second in Class 2.
In 2013, Jannin won the U-14 Missouri State Cup with his club soccer team, McMahon Ford—Stauder. In 2016, he and the Avengers won the National 3v3 soccer championship.
Webster University is located in the suburban St. Louis area and participates in Division III athletics. This past season, the Gorloks went 8-10 as their campaign ended with a loss in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals.
