Notre Dame pitcher Austin Dill signs with Evangel University

Notre Dame's Austin Dill signed a national letter of intent to play baseball at Evangel University on Wednesday.
Heading into the Bulldogs' Class 4 District 1 opener against Fredericktown on Saturday, Dill has a 1.01 ERA and .795 WHIP (walks plus hits per innings pitched) in 27.2 innings. He has 30 strikeouts to seven walks and is 3-1 with one save.
Evangel University is located in Springfield, Missouri, and has an NAIA athletic program. The Crusaders went 27-24 this past season and lost in the first round of the conference tournament.
