Cape Central football trio signs to play in college
Cape Central seniors Aaron Harris, Michael Ward and Coby Reavis signed to play football in college on Thursday at Cape Central High School.
Harris signed with Southwest Baptist, a Division II school, where he will join his brother Blake. Ward signed with NAIA Missouri Valley, and Reavis will play at Division III Iowa Wesleyan.
Harris was a Class 4 First Team All-State selection at running back this past season, rushing for 1,627 yards and 21 touchdowns on 212 carries. He also made the All-Southeast Missourian team and is a Semoball Awards Football Offense finalist. He also started at linebacker for the Tigers and amassed 113 tackles, including 16 tackles for loss, this season. Harris also had two sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
Aaron's brother, Blake Harris, signed with Southwest Baptist last year as a defensive back.
Ward and Reavis were both starters along the offensive line, helping pave the way for Harris this season.
As a contributor on the defensive line, Ward finished 42 tackles, including 18 tackles for loss. He added four sacks, 16 quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles.
