Kelly has a 27-23 lead at halftime in the consolation bracket final against Advance at the Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament at the Show Me Center.

The Hawks, led by Josh DeBrock's 13 points, charged to a 21-8 lead early in the second quarter. But the Hornets closed the gap with sophomore center Matt Ware scoring 11 points in the second.

Ware hit this shot against Chaffee that kept the Hornets alive in the tournament.

DeBrock ended the first half with 19 points, unofficially.

Kelly built a 36-31 lead before Advance rallied back with six straight points to close the third quarter.

The Hornets now lead 39-36 in the fourth period.

Kelly battled back for a 45-41 lead but Advance has pulled ahead 48-47. Good back and forth action and Jacob Bond has played a bigger role for the Hornets this half.

Kelly's Levi Felter knocked down a 3, then DeBrock converted a three-point play, and Felter just made a layin. With the eight-point run, the Hawks have pulled ahead 55-48 with 1:13 to play.

David VanGennip hits a 3 for Advance to end Kelly's streak. But Kelly hit a free throw and rebounded its missed second free throw.

56-51 Hawks with :43 to play.

Kelly wins 58-51. DeBrock unofficially with 26.
