A link to all the OVC recruits

Posted Thursday, February 7, 2008, at 8:38 PM

Click here to see the list of 2008 recruits in the Ohio Valley Conference, as listed on sportsnetwork.com.

Like SEMO, Austin Peay and Murray State have small classes.

Austin Peay has 11 (like SEMO) and Murray State has 14. Those two schools also are in rebuilding modes with a lot of freshmen and sophomores already in the program.

Murray did tap into Florida for six players, however, and also has one from Georgia and one from Texas.

Here's a story on Tennessee-Martin's class.

The Skyhawks secured the lone recruit from Missouri for the OVC who is not going to SEMO -- Dan Shufeldt, a 6-4, 320-pound offensive lineman from Rock Bridge.

Other recruiting class notes:

* Austin Peay, according to this story, has picked up a transfer quarterback from Arkansas State, T.C. Jennings.

* Eastern Illinois' quarterback recuit, Doug Reynolds, may be ready to run the Panthers' new spread offense right away, according to the Journal Gazette/Times-Courier. Here is more on the class, including the addition of defensive lineman Perry Burge, whose older brother was an All-American at EIU.

* New Eastern Kentucky coach Dean Hood is excited about his offensive linemen, according to this story in the Richmond Register.

* Jacksonville State placed a priority on quarterbacks and landed two of them.

* Murray State coach Matt Griffin called his class the best yet in his three years at Murray.

* Tennessee Tech likes its linebackers.
