Will Notre Dame bring home the title?

I'm en route to Columbia, where I'm guessing most people expect once-beaten St. Charles West to win the Class 4 state title.
West, whose only loss this season was to a Class 5 Fort Zumwalt South team it beat later in the year, features Kramer Soderberg, the son of former St. Louis University coach Brad Soderberg. Here's what Warren Hayes of the Jefferson County Leader wrote after watching Notre Dame deck De Soto 75-32 after building a 39-0 lead to open the game:
Anyone would have lost to Notre Dame that night -- the Bulldogs were really a sight to behold. ... If Notre Dame didn't look like a state title team that night, I don't know who could. You just don't expect to see a team to drain outside shot after outside shot, but it did and it was oh-so-impressive. Both teams have business in today's semifinal games. We'll try to bring live reports if it's possible from Mizzou Arena. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
