What's your prediction for SEMO-Mizzou?Posted Sunday, August 31, 2008, at 12:36 AM
Watching Mizzou rack up 31 points in the first half against Illinois on Saturday night, I thought my previous estimates of what will happen next weekend when Mizzou hosts SEMO was looking conservative.
I had the feeling Missouri would score 35 or 42 points by halftime, then substitute freely for a win along the lines of 56-7 or 56-10. Southeast's overtime win Thursday against Southwest Baptist didn't change my opinion, even though one comment predicted a score like 98-3. It could get uglier if Missouri feels compelled to rack up 70 points, but the Tigers probably knew 31 first-half points guaranteed nothing Saturday night in St. Louis, given Illinois' national ranking and last year's comeback to nearly win the game. With Jeremy Maclin's injury Saturday, one has to wonder how much he will play, if at all, in a game like this one. On Southeast's end, the longer they can press Missouri, the better. The longer the spread is less than 35 points, that will be saying something. The Redhawks last year had some early success against Cincinnati before a rash of turnovers helped the Bearcats break away. A similar flurry of errors Saturday could make the situation uglier. But I'll taper off my prediction to 49-7 with a halftime score of 35-0. Mizzou rests rather than risks injuries. How do you think the meeting will go down? Any scenario where the Redhawks win? I say 63-10 Mizzou.
SEMO will have success moving the ball against Mizzou.
Come on folks! SEMO knows very well how they can win this game. MIZZOU has ineligible players and later has to forfeit the victory of 72 to 6. However, unlike SEMO, is highly unlikely.
Mizzou 47 Semo 0
The Red Hawks will not score......
Mizzou 65,Semo 30, defense does not need to show up on either team and probabvly will not anyway
I was the one that predicted 98-3, but after closer analysis........ I think Budman is probably closer.
Mizzou 142, Semo -53. Don't ask me how semo will score negative points...Go Tigers.
Mizzou wins by any score they choose. I'll go 63-0.
56-10
mizzou 73 semo 0
67-3
Mizzou-50 SEMO 0
Scenario's where the Redhawks win...lets see...Got it...The Missouri football team forgets where the stadium is located!!!!
