OK, knowing what I know may not be the key to the world's great secrets, but we can use the modern technology to let everyone know when something new and interesting is hitting the Semoball.com Web site or when some area sports news is breaking.
The Southeast Missourian offers text-casting of score updates for the six area high school football teams and Southeast Missouri State, and you can use this same link to get the latest headlines from Semoball.com. For instance, this Friday night, I will be attending the football game between Sikeston and Kennett, and we will be offering scoring updates after each quarter. We will use the Semoball.com text alerts for playoff scores in football and other sports, including state tournament updates. We'll also use the alerts to let you know when we'll have can't-miss video that you'll want to see, such as clips from the big games, like Farmington's comeback win against Jackson in football, the game-winning goal in Jackson-Notre Dame soccer or the penalty kicks that decided Jackson-Central. We will send you links for state polls, area football stats and other breaking news, as well links to blogs, such as Marty Mishow breaking news on Tim Holloman returning to the SEMO football starting lineup or a SEMO basketball recruit being ruled ineligible. If you can't wait to find out the latest sports news about area athletics, join the group. |
