Live from Park Hills: Meadow Heights winsPosted Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at 9:07 PM
The Meadow Heights girls basketball team, playing in its first state sectional game, leads Bismarck 51-48 heading into the final period of the Class 2 game at Park Hills Central.
Heather Dietiker hit a 3 to open the fourth period and it's been a lot of freshman Whitney Welker since that point. Meadow Heights leads 60-55 with 5:45 to play in the game. After Bismarck cuts it to three on a long 2-pointer by Brooke Taylor, Meadow Heights comes back with a putback by Welker and a layup by Dietiker on the break. 64-57 Meadow Heights, 3:33 to go. The Panthers spend a lot of time at the free throw line, and pull off a 74-70 victory over Bismarck. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
