Ronnie Jones headed to Portageville to be assistant coachPosted Sunday, April 12, 2009, at 12:07 AM
I spoke with Ronnie Jones at the Jackson Invitational track meet Saturday and asked him what he is planning to do next year. Jones had recently retired as Scott City football coach.
He told me he was going to be the defensive coordinator at Portageville High School. Jones reminded me that Portageville has not won a game in a few years so the veteran coach said that he is looking forward to trying to help rebuild the program. Scott City beat Portageville 26-0 on Sept. 5. Portageville is in the same district with St. Vincent, Chaffee and Hayti. why coach J..why?
i saw gateway tech against farmington in the quarter finals.
gateway tech must of run the ball 60 times. they used maybe 6 plays. it was primal.
a very boring offense made the game boring.
i call it mike maguire's 'run the ball down you throat till yor dead offense'
i'm glad central didn't hire him last summer
