Buffalo Wild Wings to show SEMO-Mizzou

People who don't want to shell out $29.95 to watch Saturday night's SEMO at Missouri football game via pay-per-view have another option.
Buffalo Wild Wings, one of the best places in Cape to watch a sporting event, will pick up the broadcast. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. I'll bet a pretty fair number of Mizzou and SEMO fans show up to check out the contest.
Dave Matter, the Missouri beat writer for the Columbia Tribune, apparently focuses one of his blogs each week on digging fairly deep into the Tigers' upcoming opponent. His blog Wednesday started off this way. "This is the point of the week where we bring you an exhaustive look at statistics, but I'm not going to bore you or insult your intelligence by digging too deep with Southeast Missouri State. No offense to the Redhawks and their coach, former Nebraska Cornhusker player and coach Tony Samuel, but there's really no sense in poring through the statistics behind this mismatch." I totally agree with Matter. It would be like me, who covers SEMO, comparing statistics, writing about matchups and discussing keys to victory. That would be insulting your intelligence. That being said, I talked to several SEMO players and they are excited about facing the Tigers. That's to be expected. As an athlete and competitor, you want the opportunity to test yourself against an elite level. Also as an athlete and competitor, you always think you've got a chance to win. That's the way it should be. Reality figures to set in soon enough for the Redhawks Saturday night. No reason to give in to it this early in the week. |
