Hayti's Moore might not play against SEMO

It looks like Hayti native William Moore, Missouri's All-American senior safety, probably won't play Saturday night when the Tigers host SEMO.

But MU sophomore All-American return man/wide receiver Jeremy Maclin likely will see the field.

That's all according to Dave Matter, who covers the Tigers for the Columbia Tribune.

Matter wrote on his blog that sources with knowledge of the situation told him Moore will be held out of the contest after suffering a sprained right foot in the second half of the season opener against Illinois. Matter wrote that Moore wore a walking cast earlier this week as a precaution.

Matter wrote that Maclin, who strained a tendon in his left ankle against Illinois, is expected to see action against the Redhawks.

MU coach Gary Pinkel has listed both Moore and Maclin as probable.

Although you don't see many point spreads put out when Division I-A teams play Division I-AA squads, Erik Sean said the official line he found for Saturday's game is MU by 50.

I wouldn't feel real comfortable laying out money either way, but if I was betting, I'd have to go with the Tigers. What do you think?

They put up a line on almost all of the 1A vs 1AA games. You just have to know where to look. They also put up lines on 1AA vs 1AA games. The following are some of the other OVC teams playing 1A teams this week. W. Kentucky is in the process of moving from 1AA up to 1A.

E. ILLINOIS +28

ILLINOIS -28

TENNESSEE TECH +35

LOUISVILLE -35

W. KENTUCKY -6 1/2

E. KENTUCKY +6 1/2

MURRAY ST. +40

INDIANA -40

Marty Mishow's response:
Thanks semosupporter. I knew they put up lines on most of the 1-A vs. I-AA games, I just meant you don't see them all over the place like the I-A vs. I-A games that are in just about all the big-city papers and on plenty of web sites.
