No more tickets left for SEMO-Murray

Posted Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at 9:11 AM

I just got the word that there are no more tickets remaining for tonight's OVC basketball showdown between SEMO and Murray State at the Show Me Center.

That means the contest is officially a sellout and should rank among the top few crowds to ever see a basketball game in Cape Girardeau.

There have been only four recorded crowds of at least 7,000 for a SEMO men's basketball game at the 7,000-seat Show Me Center, most recently when SEMO hosted the Racers during its NCAA tournament season of 1999-2000.

This is going to be great to see. I have GA tickets. Most likely I will ge there a little over a hour before game time to get a good seat.

I've never had to worry about this, but what time do the doors open up?

Doors open at 5:30, heard to get there at 5:30 to get a seat

Just as a tip - if you have GA tickets, you need to pick a seat in the 200 level. If you get there early, and pick a seat in the lower level, you'll just get moved once the people with those seats arrive - and by then all the good GA seats will be taken and you've wasted your time coming early.

I'm going to get there early. I just hope that ESPN radio doesn't talk about Jeremy Lin the whole entire time. Nice story, but way to much coverage.
