Moses gets two hits in pro debutPosted Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 9:50 AM
Former SEMO All-American third baseman Trenton Moses had an impressive professional debut Tuesday night.
Moses, an Advance High School graduate who was the Atlanta Braves' 26th-round draft pick this year, went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI as the Danville Braves opened their season with a 7-3 win over the Elizabethton Twins. Moses served as the designated hitter for Danville, Atlanta's Advanced Rookie-level team in the Appalachian League. Pitcher Shae Simmons, SEMO's other selection in this year's amateur draft who went to Altanta in the 22nd round, has started his professional career with the Gulf Coast League Braves, another Rookie-level squad. Simmons, a Scott City High School graduate, did not appear in the Gulf Coast League Braves' first two games. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Otto Porter a deserving superstar

Marty,
I'm sure everyone would enjoy seeing something on Semoball.com showing game by game stats on both Shae and Trenton. Just a lot easier than going on the teams website. Something like what you do in the paper for Otto.
Simmons saw his first action today, pitched 2 innings, picked up the win in relief allowed no runs, hits or walks. Struck out 3.
