It's official: Carpenter done for year

The Cardinals announced that Chris Carpenter's season officially is over because of "continued weakness from a muscle strain in his pitching shoulder," the AP reported.

Carpenter looked good in the couple of starts he was able to make, but let's be honest, we've been expecting this information. Now it's time for Carpenter to rest, heal and get ready for next season.
