Lee wins AL Cy YoungPosted Thursday, November 13, 2008, at 2:03 PM
I don't suppose it comes as much of a surprise that Cleveland's Cliff Lee was named the AL Cy Young winner today. He went 22-3 with a 2.54 ERA.
The cool part about Lee's story is that he accepted a demotion to Class AAA last season so he could work on his stuff. He returned to the bigs this season and dominated hitters. He grabbed 24 of the 28 first-place votes. Toronto's Roy Halladay was second, while Francisco Rodriguez, the Angels' closer, was third. |
