Notre Dame's quarterfinal softball opponent

The Bulldogs will face John F. Kennedy in Saturday's Class 3 state quarterfinal.

Kennedy, which boasts a 21-2 record, defeated Affton 9-0 on Friday in a sectional contest.

Kennedy's two losses this season have come against Ursuline, 3-2, and St. Dominic, 2-0, according to stltoday. Notre Dame's two losses were to Hillsboro, 5-1, and Lindbergh, 6-5.

For a little perspective, Notre Dame beat Affton 10-1 earlier this season.

Seems to me it should be a pretty good contest between Notre Dame and Kennedy. Saturday's quarterfinal gets under way at 4 p.m. at the Ballwin Athletic Association.
