Brian Rosener
Brian Rosener is the keeper of the Semoball Cup which is presented to the school with the most successful season. It is based on a formula that takes into account the combined winning percentage of all sports teams plus bonus points for advancement in postseason play for both teams and individuals. The bonus points are divided by the number of teams a school fields. Rosener has been the sports editor for the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since December 2001. He was born and raised in St. Louis, where he attended Lindbergh High School and Webster University. He is married to Jennifer, a Poplar Bluff native, has a son Jack and a dog named Satchel who stands in for his @semoballBrian photo.

Mules headed to St. Louis

To update a story that ran in today's DAR, the team bus just left the high school, the game at Webster Groves is on for tonight.

The Farmington Invitational, however, has been postponed for tonight due to a power outage and will resume Saturday, hopefully, with the Lady Mules playing at 11:30 a.m. against Notre Dame at Farmington High School. Dexter and Cape Central tip off at 10 a.m. Winners play at 5:30 while the championship side of the bracket will be played later in the day at the Civic Center. The Doniphan Dons play at 1 p.m. at the Civic Center with the winner advancing to the championship at 8:30.

It's very rare for teams to play twice in the same day so that tournament just got a little more interesting.

From the report I got, it sounds like 67 north is fine but fans may just want to stay home. Instead, some former Lady Mules -- Tierra Johnson and Lauren Shelton -- are playing at 8 p.m. tonight for the Three Rivers Lady Raiders at the Bess Activity Center. The Naylor and Scott County Central girls play at 6 in what could be a good matchup.

Since they pay me the big bucks, I'm heading to Webster Groves now.
