SEMO POLL * How would you vote?
Here is the ballot for this week's SEMO Poll that I sent to area media members Monday. Based on this, how would you vote, ranking teams 1-15. Note that the teams are in order of last week's poll with records as of Sunday. Polls are due at noon today and I add up the votes to come up with the poll, which will be posted later today.
1. Malden (16-0) beat Portageville 48-43, Hayti 75-34; ranked fifth in Class 3; won Bootheel title for regular season; won Bloomfield tourney.
2. Charleston (14-3) beat St. Louis Metro 80-38; ranked second in Class 3; losses to top-ranked Webster Groves, Bell City and Sikeston.
3. Bell City (12-4) beat Bloomfield 85-51, Woodland 75-34; have won eight straight; ranked fourth in Class 1; ranked fourth in Class 1; two early-season losses to Scott Central (won two meetings since), lost to Advance (won rematch), lost to Memphis Central in opener.
4. Doniphan (13-2) beat Kennett 87-53, Doniphan 75-25; ranked 10th in Class 3; have lost to Malden (rematch is Saturday) and Jackson (in Nov.).
5. Notre Dame (15-3) beat Saxony Lutheran 75-43; ranked fifth in Class 4; losses to Charleston (twice, rematch postponed) and Jackson (ND won two),
6. Jackson (13-6) beat Jackson 54-48; Dexter 47-25; Poplar Bluff 70-59; losses to Notre Dame (twice), Bell City (84-76 for second at Southeast Missourian tourney), Jennings (57-49), Sikeston (86-73).
7. North County (14-2) beat Ste. Gen 70-42; beat Valley Caledonia 97-60; losses to Okawaville, Ill. 55-49, DeSoto 62-33.
8. Sikeston (9-6) lost at Scott City 68-61; other losses include Notre Dame (86-75), Charleston (79-72), Blytheville, Ark. and two at a tough tournament in Dyersburg, Tenn.
9. Clarkton (13-1) beat Hayti 68-60, North Pemiscot 85-5; ranked fifth in Class 1; only loss to Malden.
10. Portageville (11-3) lost at Malden 48-43; other losses to Scott Central and South Pemiscot (won rematch).
11. Scott Central (13-4) beat Scott City 92-53 for Scott-Miss title; also beat East Prairie 92-78; ranked eight in Class 1; losses to Bell City (twice), Charleston and Malden.
12. Puxico (12-3) beat Bernie 76-69; Dexter 70-52; losses to Malden, Advance and Bell City.
13. Advance (7-6) lost to South Iron 64-61; other losses to Jackson, Scott City, Bell City (split) and Malden.
14. Saxony Lutheran (13-3) lost to Notre Dame 74-43; beat Ste. Gen 48-47; other losses to Marissa, Ill. and Scott Central.
15. South Iron (13-3) beat Advance 64-61; Meadow Heights 81-42; lost at Fredericktown 68-49.
Neelyville (10-5) lost at Twin Rivers 78-56 and at Bernie 93-56
West County (13-3) beat Valle 53-41; Arcadia Valley 70-48
Farmington (11-5) beat Fredericktown 68-52, Chester, Ill, 74-46.

Scott City (11-6) lost to Scott Central 92-53; beat Oran 69-55; beat Delta 67-24
Bernie (9-4) lost to Puxico 76-69; beat Gideon 79-51; Neelyville 93-56.
Fredericktown (10-7) lost Farmington 68-52, beat South Iron 68-49 and Ste. Gen 82-65.
