Semoball Cup
Brian Rosener is the keeper of the Semoball Cup which is presented to the school with the most successful season. It is based on a formula that takes into account the combined winning percentage of all sports teams plus bonus points for advancement in postseason play for both teams and individuals. The bonus points are divided by the number of teams a school fields. Rosener has been the sports editor for the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since December 2001. He was born and raised in St. Louis, where he attended Lindbergh High School and Webster University. He is married to Jennifer, a Poplar Bluff native, has a son Jack and a dog named Satchel who stands in for his @semoballBrian photo.

Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Wednesday that the club has agreed to terms of a two-year contract with WR Brent Little. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.Little (5-11, 193) entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Cleveland in 2006. He attended training camp with the Browns a year ago, but was released prior to the start of the regular season. A three-year starter at Southern Illinois, Little appeared in 49 games (32 starts) for the Salukis. He caught 124 passes for 2,303 yards (18.6 avg.) with 20 TDs and led the team in receptions from 2003-05. Little also returned 26 kickoffs for 560 yards (21.5 avg.).
The local product was a standout performer at Poplar Bluff High School in Poplar Bluff, Missouri where he earned all-state honors as a senior.
