MoAm Day 2 * final
The local kid earned medalist honors, the Godwins finished in the top half and a pack of Southeast Missouri golfers are battling for the final spot Wednesday for match play at the 100th Missouri Amateur.
Connor McHenry of Jefferson City shot a two-day total of 7-under 137 at Jefferson City County Club.
Ben Godwin, tied for 12th, and Bobby Godwin, tied for 21st, made the cut. Logan MacDonald of Poplar Bluff also made the cut.
Poplar Bluff's Tyler Hillis and James Vernon, along with Dexter's Kyle Christian, Kent Phillips and Todd Obergoenner, both of Cape Girardeau, all tied for the final spot in match play. They were among nine players who needed to win a playoff for the final spot. In the end, Andrew Watts of Carthage won the playoff.
