Central-Bluff countdown II
Who's had the tougher road?
One of the reasons why I like Missouri's playoff system (which is a whole other topic we'll get into later) is that teams can schedule tough opponents during the first seven weeks and not get penalized.
Six of Poplar Bluff's first seven opponents have winning records and are a combined 37-11. Here's the list:
Parkway West (4-3)
Blytheville, Ark. (7-0)
New Madrid (5-1)
Dexter (4-3)
North County (3-4)
Farmington (7-0)
Jackson (7-0)
Cape Central's opponents are 32-16. Here's the list:
Parkway North (5-2)
New Madrid (5-1)
Blytheville, Ark. (7-0)
St. Charles (1-6)
St. Charles West (2-5)
Jackson (7-0)
Ft. Zumwalt North (5-2)
The Mules are 1-2 against common opponents, losing by a combined score of 81-79. Cape Central is 0-3 with a combined score of 160-35.
I'll have starters and stats tomorrow.
