The Dunk & my wife's NFL picks
It seems Tyler Hansbrough's dunk Wednesday night has had over 100,000 hits on YouTube in the 24 hours since the game.
You can see it here.
NFL PLAYOFFS
My wife Jennifer is back with her NFL playoff picks -- and a shameless plug -- last week she was perfect, picking all four winners:
As you all know I am two up! I am also very busy today planning a Circus (January 28th & 29th -- 6:45 p.m. at the Black River Coliseum. Make sure to buy you tickets in advance because proceeds go to RSVP in Butler County) so this will be short and sweet. Here are my picks for this weekend:Packer over Seahawks The Packers have a better team and they should have this one in the bag, however I will be watching the game and whenever I watch the Packers they usually loose. I might have to take a nap if things start going badly. With the Packers you just never know. They can play a team and you think they will win for sure then they don't, or they will play a team and you think they don't have a chance and they come from behind and pull it off. This is my team and I am going to be a mess come Saturday when they play. In the words of Judy Blume: "Are you there God, it's me Jennifer, please, please let the Packers win."
Patriots over Jags I don't like either one of these teams. I would like to see the Jags clean up the floor with the Pats but I don't think it is going to happen.
Colts over Chargers The Chargers are known for choking in important games. Plus I like Dungy and Peyton Manning.
Cowboys over Giants I really, really want the Cowboys to loose, don't think they will though. I think that the Packers would have a better chance against the Giants than the Cowboys. I can only hope that Romo got too much sun and Jessica down in Mexico and that Manning will still have good momentum coming off the last two games.
This time around I hope I pull a Brian and go 2 for 4 and the Pats and Cowboys loose!
As for my picks…
Packers over Seahawks, Patriots over Jags, Colts over Chargers and Giants over Cowboys.
Jennifer saw the Packers in person and they won, so don't buy her "I don't want to jinx my team" routine. I didn't like Seattle last week and I'm still don't.
New England and Indy have been set up for an AFC Championship showdown all season and nothing is going to stop that.
I'll take the Giants because they play better on the road, they have a more balanced offense and a better defense, which ranked seventh in the NFL during the regular season. Plus, QB Eli Manning has more playoff wins than Cowboys QB Tony Romo.
Enjoy the weekend.
