Brian Rosener is the keeper of the Semoball Cup which is presented to the school with the most successful season. It is based on a formula that takes into account the combined winning percentage of all sports teams plus bonus points for advancement in postseason play for both teams and individuals. The bonus points are divided by the number of teams a school fields. Rosener has been the sports editor for the Daily American Republic in Poplar Bluff, Mo. since December 2001. He was born and raised in St. Louis, where he attended Lindbergh High School and Webster University. He is married to Jennifer, a Poplar Bluff native, has a son Jack and a dog named Satchel who stands in for his @semoballBrian photo.

A pick and a prayer

Here is this week's playoff picks by my wife Jennifer:

Patriots will easliy coast to the Super Bowl.

And Lord, Please, please, please let the Packers beat the Giants. Amen

She's 6-2 while I'm 5-3 so I'm not going to make a pick just to make up ground … but, I may be the only person in the world outside Southern California who thinks the Chargers have a chance to at least cover the spread. I've bet against the Bolts twice and they burned me, so I'm jumping on the bandwagon.

As for the NFC, if I don't pick the Pack and they lose, it's going to be a long week around the Rosener household. That's why I'm going Packers-Chargers in the Super Bowl.

You're probably right but I'm pulling for the Giants; got to pull for Eli, my son's good friend...would love to see the HUGE upset of the Pats but it will only happen in my dreams.

I want a see an upset but I want the upset to be Feb 3rd when the Pats lose the Super Bowl.

Yeah he's going to be feeling great watching Peyton choke again last week and Eli getting obliterated in a couple of weeks.
