Bloomfield seeds are…
1. Bernie, which just won the Campbell Invitational title.
2. Portageville
3. Kennett
4. Hayti
5. Dexter; 6. Twin Rivers; 7. Doniphan; 8. Bloomfield; 9. South Pem; 10. Richland; 11. Malden; 12. East Prairie; 13. Puxico; 14. Van Buren; 15. Greenville; 16. East Carter.
Good seeding?
First round matchups are (in bracket order) Bernie-East Carter; Bloomfield-South Pem; Dexter-East Prairie; Hayti-Puxico; Twin Rivers-Malden; Kennett-Van Buren; Doniphan-Richland; Portageville-Greenville;
Possibly interesting quarterfinals include the top seed facing the host; Dons vs. Portageville; Twin Rivers vs. Kennett; Possible Cinderella teams include Bloomfield, which lost twice this week by a bucket, Doniphan as a seventh seed or Twin Rivers as a sixth seed. Still plenty of time for teams to get better and it seems that there's a lot of parity this year.
Schedule goes like this…
First day, Dec. 26, 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Day 2, Dec. 27, consolation quarterfinals, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. quarterfinals are 4, 5:30, 7 and 8:30
No games Sunday, Dec. 28
Day 3, Dec. 29, semifinals are 7 and 8:30; fifth place semifinals, 4 and 5:30; consolation semifinals, 1:00 and 2:30;
Day 4, Dec. 30, championship, 8:30; third place, 7:00; fifth place, 5:30; Consolation, 4:00.
Will the day off make a difference this year?
