Im sick and tired of watching the great LaRussa micro-manage the Cardinals. For a manager, who is second in wins, he should be after 5000 games, his winning percentage is: drum roll please; 53%.

Suprised, I am. He has managed great teams all his career, for great organizations. What really gets my goat is his torture of his young ball players. He has no faith in them and jerks them around constantly. That is really going to help a young players mental development. In contrast, lets look at Whitey Herzog. In 1982, he had tremendous faith in his young players. Mcgee, Oquendo, Ozzie, his 2 rookie starting pitchers. I think they did alright. What do you think Whitey's career winning percentage was? I have not looked it up but I would bet it is a lot higher than Tony's. Folks I can't help it, I'm old school and I know the game has changed, But I feel LaRussa has hurt us more than helped us. Never the less I will always be a life-long Redbird maniac.
