  • Game could go either way. Most important, I hope they don't try to play it before the field is in good shape; a game that important should be played under good conditions - both teams deserve it! I doubt SEMO will permit the game to be played at Capaha, so it looks like N.D. will likely be the site.

The way rain's been going, doesn't look like anything will be happening today

  • Notre Dame has to be happy that it is raining so they can give heisser another day off. Cuz thats the only way that they have a chance of beating Kennett.

  • dukefan nailed it. If heisserer can pitch then ND has a shot. If not, Kennett will win. ND field wasn't in very good shape on Saturday so I can't imagine any game being played there today and I doubt ND will put a lot of effort into getting it ready.

  • Everything is a wash out today. There is a coaches meeting today to discuss finishing the tourney on Saturday 5/7.

  • ND is more than just Heisserer; Kennett actually had more hits than ND the first game, but the Bulldogs came through with two clutch HRs. It's still a toss-up game, but I do think Kennett has their Bootheel Conf. tournament this week, so their pitching might be stretched somewhat.

  • Kennett definitely had more hits, but appears that they couldnt put the hits together at the right time. ND had 3 hits, two being HRs. If Heisserer is available, will Lack be available too?

  • No way to tell who they (Kennett) might throw, but it would be hard to designate one pitcher as an ace. Grantham is probably the hardest thrower, Lack is very good, and I don't think the Wallace kid has allowed a run all spring. Both teams seem to play very fundamentally sound. Saw the Kennett team execute very well in the last inning in the win over Central, and ND has a knack for the same. Should be a great game!
