Did he not sign a letter of intent with him? Big article in the paper, etc.? The Missourian hasn't reported anything different.

Yes, he is. The end.

Rachel---Why the attitude? I am a MIZZOU basebell fan and couldn't find anything about him on their baseball website as signing. Sorry for asking

Bulletman, I glanced as well and didn't see anything about any other recruits either. I know two from Francis Howell also signed there. Did you see info about other recruits on their site?

Sorry, bulletman.
The Mizzou baseball team lost the media relations guy who has handled the team for the last six of seven years before the season, and I don't think they have an official replacement. I haven't called to ask or anything, but that's the impression I get from the way the team's releases and live-game coverage is handled. My guess is that's why some things like a release on the 2011 signees never happened like it did for other sports.

I heard his scholorship was revoked because of some off the field issues.

Mizzou baseball does not announce commits. There won't be any announcement on their website, and their history has been to not update their Roster until well into February, even with those newcomers having been on campus since August.

No his scholarship has not been revoked, alot of rumors have been running around that he got a DWI or a DUI and that is FALSE, no off the field issues. I guess some people get mad and or jealous that the kid works hard and makes good grades and still is a good athlete. He still has his scholarship to Mizzou.

And now you understand my attitude, bulletman. Sorry it seemed directed at you.
A comment like CHSballer's seemed inevitable considering the obscene amount of discussion I've heard on the topic when out and about at games. A false story has taken on a life of it's own and traveled from town to town in remarkable fashion. I literally heard about it at both games I was at last week, neither of which Oak Ridge was playing in. And I heard others talking about it a few weeks ago at another game.
Friga, Thomas' coach at Oak Ridge, has it right and any more discussion of the subject will be deleted. There is no place for that stuff here, and I would hope anywhere else. Hopefully this will put an end to the talk since it seemed impossible that no one would bring it up at this point...but I held out some hope.
Moving. On.
Troll, I would love to know the theory behind that since as far as I can tell (and I've never really bothered to check), every other Mizzou team announces signings. I would guess that means it's a decision made by the coaching staff, but it seems like a strange one.
I knew the roster was put up late this season, but the guy that runs the teams Twitter account (an assistant) acted like it was an oversight and I just thought it could all be tied to the team not having its regular SID. That's probably what I get for bothering to spend so much time thinking about this kind of stuff. :)

Rachel, I've sent you an email.

Crader, I've noticed a direct correlation between people overly invested in Mizzou athletics and a speeding up of the aging process, part of the reason I've never cared about them.

Glad it's false.

Glad it's false.

But yet you felt compelled to put gossip on here that attacks a good kids character? Nice.
-- Posted by deadred on Mon, May 9, 2011, at 9:36 AM
That wasn't my intention, I didn't even put what the exact thing was I heard. I was just hoping to get it cleared up. Sorry that it came off that way.

he also said off the field issues... didnt say anything particular.

Mizzou Baseball does not release lists of their signed recruits. I've never been sure why not, but that's just their policy.
