1. Chaffee
2. Valle Catholic
3. Kelly
4. Jefferson R-7
5. Saxony
6. Woodland
7. St. Vincent
8. Meadow Heights
Saxony and woodland might be switched I got conflicting reports off the top of their heads. At any rate I would say there is a screwjob in there but will refrain for now.
Hey Bill, we all know by your post you are a Valle supporter and we know what you are upset about.. and to be honest you have a point but I'm sorry.. We've played 23 games and only allowed 23 runs... you had a chance to make a statement win when you played Crystal City and didn't see their ace and still lost.
-- Posted by sportsnerd on Sat, May 5, 2012, at 12:06 PM
Haha that's good because I am the farthest thing on earth from a Valle supporter, there isn't a school I hate more than Valle. And if you can't figured it out by this post your just not very intelligent.

Regardless.. the set up is Saturday Monday Wednesday so I think either team should have no trouble if they were to recieve the 2 seed. If Kelly can win round one without Householder than the 2 seed will be a big deal but if they throw him round one it will be irrelevant

I must have mistaken you for a different poster that has continually said that valle is much better than Chaffee
-- Posted by sportsnerd on Sat, May 5, 2012, at 12:15 PM
If I was Kelly I would be happy that they are facing us again who have beat them without householder on the mound and woodland somehow got the six..
-- Posted by Bill Shakespeare on Sat, May 5, 2012, at 12:29 PM
idk honestly.. I think 3-7 are pretty equal
-- Posted by sportsnerd on Sat, May 5, 2012, at 12:39 PM
Kelly doesn't play woodland first round
-- Posted by sportsnerd on Sat, May 5, 2012, at 2:35 PM
Then I'm assume woodland would have to be 5 then??
-- Posted by Bill Shakespeare on Sat, May 5, 2012, at 3:24 PM
Dont think anyone said Valle could beat Chaffee I think its the other way around
-- Posted by hb1025 on Sat, May 5, 2012, at 3:35 PM
Many people from up north have said valle is much better.. and I was wrong.I thought that Saxony got the 6.. my mistake..Saxony n woodland tied
-- Posted by sportsnerd on Sat, May 5, 2012, at 4:03 PM
I just really thought we got the bad end of the stick, we beat Kelly head to head. We play in the same exact conference as Jefferson and have better record. Saxony lost by 15 to St Pius who we beat. Also we beat oakridge the same week that saxony lost to them. Woodland has lost to Leopold twice and gave up runs to Puxico which we didnot.. By know means do I think that we shouldve got three, but 4 or 5 would be fair even a 6 wouldve more logical

The 1, 2, and 8 seeds might be the only easy calls in that district. Btw Chaffee is loaded.

I feel Jefferson will be a tough draw.. 7-9 but play a tough schedule.. lost to Crystal City 5-1.. beat Leopold and Clearwater.. Clearwater is the 1 seed in their district and beat Cooter and Dexter today.

Jefferson can sneak up on Chaffee. They are good enough to cause some headaches. They have decent pitching and can swing the sticks a little bit. Chaffees pitching may be too dominant for them but not a team to over look (beat ste gen 4-1) and ste gen can be very good at times

Why would you want the 4 or 5 in that district? It looks like Chaffee is the team to beat so you have a tough matchup in round 1 only to come back to play the best team in the semis? Take a 2/7 or 3/6 and take your chances with Chaffee in the finals with your #1. Too many people worry about the seed and forget about potential matchups-especially pitching wise. Did you draw a tougher 1st round opponent? Possibly but your game plan is still the same against in the 4/5 game. You have to throw your #1 and now if you win you draw a lower seeded team and the way it looks, a team with less pitching than Chaffee.

Strong District. Chaffee, Valle and Kelly are contenders.
Shakespeare seems a bit "Edgy". We haven't seen St. Vincent much down south, but we know they traditionally have some good ball players.
Good luck to all teams in this district.

Not a Valle fan but have seen them play a couple of games, coached very well and they are very sound.Haven't seen Chaffee play so I can't comment on them and yes Jefferson could make some noise. If Valle and Chaffee meet in the finals should be a good game

St Vincent does play a pretty tough schedule. However, your 8-12.
You'll play a tough game out of the gate, what's the big deal?
The goal is to "Win" districts. You'll have to go through, not around, Valle and Chaffee to Win...

What town is Jefferson from?

Festus, I think.

Jefferson is a little south if Festus. Very big baseball area. They will be a class 2/possibly 3 next year above average team most of the time. Quite a few athletes that went to crystal city attended Jefferson before the new high school. I would put them right there with crystal city (this year not in the future I've heard) and Valle within a year or 2. Very $ families in the area and that can make good players better and they have a passion for baseball. They will tough competition over the coming years.

I am rooting for Chaffee and Kelly in this district.
I believe Chaffee is our areas best chance in Class 2 State.
