Isn't it this week? I haven't really heard any news on it this year. All I know is that it takes place in Kennett. Anyone have the bracket and seeds?

Are local paper (if you can call it that) has not printed a bracket or times and date. Some body please help Bud Hunt out with this.
The seeds look like this
1.Kennett
2. Caruthersville
3. Portageville
4. Malden
5. Hayti
6. Senath
7. South Pem
I know Portageville takes on Senath around 7 on Tuesday and thats about it.
Imagine the bracket looks like this
1. Kennett BYE
4+5 Malden v. Hayti
3+6 Portageville v. Senath
2+7 Carthursville v. South Pem

alot of people think cvill will win, I think kennett will show them why they beat them the first time.
Kennett is the 1 seed and the favorite until somebody beats them.
I know it will be a tough game though
Should def. see a Kennett Cville final. I think it will prob be a coin toss on who will win. I think whoever is on that night will walk away the winner. Anybody see any upsets that would put Kennett or Cville out early?

I see Kennett winning it over Portageville in the championship game.
The tournament is at Kennett so I think home court advantage will help them pull it off. Portageville almost beat Caruthersville a couple weeks ago at Caruthersville, and I think at a neutral site they'll pull off the upset.

Caruthersville won 81-60. Kennett beat Hayti 65-39.

So much for Portageville pulling off the ole upset at a neutral site. I watched Kennett play and other than Caruthers and Garmon, they have no one else who can keep up with Cville's team. I may be wrong, but from what I saw tonight, Cville wins tomorrow by 10+
I'll agree, i think cville should win if they play like they did when i got to see them..
Caruthersville played so hard tonight. In the first half they would play hard but then missed some some easy shots. In the second half they put it all together and looked great. Portageville is a great team also but it looked like they got really tired tonight. I think Portageville will do good in their district and wish them luck. It will be an exciting game tomorrow. Kennett is a good team also. The Tigers will have to play like they did tonight in the second half for an entire game to win.
Cville is my second favorite team.. By far, they will be a state contender before too long
Caruthersville is so fast and they just run you into the ground with that fast pace and aggressive defense. Its like you said they missed some easy shots but you could just feel it the whole game that its just a matter of time before Portageville can't keep this up! They were impressive. They play a lot like a Sikeston or a Scott County. To me the only difference is Caruthersville might miss an easy shot here and there where those teams are normally going to finish. But that is a dangerous team and they are so young. Their JV was also impressive this week and they are mostly freshman also. Kennett will have their hands full tomorrow. I can't wait for the game!
I agree, they have to play good to win tomorrow night. Kennett didn't look so hot to me tonight against a depleted Hayti team. I think Hayti had several players either quit the team or couldn't play. There starters had to play the entire game bc they only had 2 people on the bench. Kennett could have just taken it easy tonight though considering either Pville or Cville was going to be next. It should be a great game tomorrow night.
Foul trouble is what did Portageville in tonight. They had a 6 point lead then Booker and Tredwell got into foul trouble and Cville came back and took the lead. Then in the third quarter both Tredwell and Booker receive fouls in the first minutes and sit out the rest of the quarter. By the 4th Caruthersville got a lead that Portageville couldn't overcome. Also Cville simple out rebounded Pville.
Sorry paulbd but it wasn't just Pville with fouls being called on them. Cville had two players with 4 fouls and a couple more with 3 so that was pretty much evened out. Pville couldn't handle the pressure from Cville's defense the entire game and just wore down. Also, Booker is a bad apple for that Pville team. He is an example of how not to act during a game. Cheap shots all game, he got one block and got up in the players face and said something, thats what got him put on the bench the rest of the game is his attitude. Bidwell don't put up with that crap on his teams. Fact of the matter is, Pville isn't up to par with Cville this year and this game proved that. They will be a contender in Class 2 that is for sure but them attitudes need to change on that team first.

cvill has been looking better than kennett lately,kennett has alot more than just garmon and caruthers though. FYI kennett kept up with cvills team pretty good the last time they played.They play the same style, cvill can't run kennett in the ground. jack walls and camron wallace are just as fast as anyone you have, along with garmon and caruthers. your only advantage is claude taylor. the answer for him is foul trouble.

Portageville had 22 fouls. Cville had 17.
I'll give you jack wall but in no way shape or form can Cameron Wallace keep up with any of Cville's guards. Not V. Fonda, E. Fonda, D. Shaw, or D. Monroe for that fact. Not saying Kennett isn't a great team bc they are. After what I saw tonight from both squads, Kennett will be beaten tomorrow night. I guess we will both have to see, either way, its going to be a good game

Caruthers and Garmon from Kenneth both will step up and have big games. However, Tigers are much stronger in the post and their press will get to Kenneth. They should come away with a big win. Ville wins by 15+
Kennett does seem to be staying the same whereas C-ville and Charleston seem to be getting better every week. Not sure why or what the answer is but Kennett better find it quick or this Sr. heavy team will find itself watching from the bleachers. Got to hate it for them if that happens. They have put alot of work in since they were in the 6th grade. Right now I would say C-ville by 8+.
Just read where Monroe scored 16 last night. That is crazy that a freshman can come in and do that. Kennett can not let him do that or "Game Over"
he scored 20+ last time and we won, kennetts press will cause just as many turnovers as cvills. cvills ball handlers wasnt very good the last time we played maby that has changed since then. you say monroe and taylor, i say garmon and caruthers, you say the fonda brothers, i say jack walls and camron wallace. jay shavers is as good as the rest, as far as ball handlers go. we do not have a big man and made up for it with speed last time, our speed is as good as anybodys in class 3, if they run the whole game so can we. our bench will be the difference tonight.

Its just really hard to believe what you say Ktown5150 bc you talked this same stuff about Sikeston, Charleston and how they didn't have the talent and depth as Kennett and look what happened? The problem with Kennett is, they are a senior heavy team and they have peaked already. Cville is getting better and will be even better come districts and a lot better next year. Even if Kennett was to win tonight, they will have to see Cville again in Districts where they will be better. Kennett had trouble last night against a depleted Hayti team. Have hayti made them uncontested layups, that would have been a lot closer. Kennett couldn't seem to get into rythem last night, and that was against Hayti of all teams. Kennett will see what everyone else has seen tonight. If Kennett plays tonight like they did last night then Kennett loses by 20+ but if they step up and play like they can then the game will come down to a coin flip. I say Cville wins 84-79

If it wasn't for Hayti missing all the open shots then the game would have been alot closer. Cville won't miss all them shots like Hayti did trust me. As far as the "depleted" LOL.. If you call having only 7 players dress out a full team then yeah, LOL at my comment.
What is crazy is that these Kennett boys have worked really hard for a long time. What that means though is that they have to work that hard just to be able to compete with teams that have been together since November. It seems to be that way in all Kennett sports. What is the deal? Do the other towns just have more natural athletes? I'm still saying C-ville by 8+ unless a focused Kennett team shows up.
I don't know why Kennett isn't getting better. It could be a number of things. But it is obvious that Caruthersville has improved dramatically since the start of the season. The reason for that isn't hard to figure out. Those boys love Heeb and love playing for him.

True Hayti only scored 10 but Kennett only scored 25 in the first half. A team like Kennett should not be held to 25 pts in a half against a team like Hayti. I'm not trying to sell myself anything about this game. Like I said before, I think this game is a toss up and who wins tonight is going to be the team that came to play. You Kennett fans always think this team of yours can beat anyone. Yall ride Garmon and Caruthers and I'm sorry, its going to take more than them two to have a good game to beat this Cville team.Look at the past games from Kennett, every night either Garmon or Caruthers is the leading scoring, they depend on them to have a big game. Cville past games, different leader in scoring every night. You can't just focus on two guys bc everyone is dangerous. Not sure about Kennett being a better team, better players and better coach. Heeb does have state titles in his resume, what does the Kennett coach have? Kennett is a Senior heavy team while Cville is loaded with underclassmen. Kennett should dominate this young team but they are alot like the Kennett posters, they are cocky and haven't did anything yet, and just overlook everyone. You say Kennett has had a tough schedule, well I would say Malden and Twin Rivers isn't that tough of teams to only be winning by 5 and 1 points. Regardless of who wins tonight it doesn't matter, it only matters who wins this match-up in Districts for thats when it really counts. I hope Kennett goes in to this game thinking they have it won, and overlooking this Cville team. Go right ahead, just come back on here tonight talking all this when Cville beats them on their own floor for the BCT

I think Cheesehead is on to something. Kennett players and coach have an arogance to them. For example the C-ville boys are unified student body. The boys who are winning now are the same boys who dominated in football. Whereas Kennett seems to encourage an ellitist attitude without much conern for the team concept. and as I said unless they check that at the door, it could be a long night. Cville 8+

yeah kennetts boys are arogant and cocky, what planet have you been watching basketball on this year. they havent once been that way. Just because we dont pick on the weak teams and blow them out 100+ to 30 doesnt mean that we cant, our coach just doesnt choose to. we would have easily put up 100 against cvill the first time but the coach slowed down and played four corners trying to run out the clock with 6 + minutes left, and that allowed cvill to creep back in to the game until we put the run and gun back on and still scored 89. you cvill people have alot of confidence in your team and you should, they are good. yeah you should win by 50 going away, no problem, but no cvill people are cocky.
Why do they have an arrogance? No team concept? I would like to hear your evidence to support those claims.

I never once said anything about Kennett not having a team concept. I said their players seemed a little cocky to me. To be as good as Kennett is, of course you have to show teamwork. I have nothing against Kennett at all, I root for all Bootheel teams and after this game will continue to root for Kennett until we play again. Yall have me confused with someone else. I was just trying to say that Cville isn't the same team they were when Kennett played them the first time. Not saying Cville is going to dominate this game. Win or lose, they will give Kennett a better game then they did that first game, that I can guarantee. Do I have confidence in my team? Yes! Who doesn't? I think my team has the potential to do great things not only this year but in the next few years. I wish good luck to Kennett and Cville both tonight and hope no one gets hurts so they can both be 100% at district time.
I agree, both teams are very good and i also hope good things for cvill until we play again.I hope kennett can play to their potential and not like they have against lesser opponents. If you win tonight it will be because your team deserved to win. hopefully one of our teams will win the district, nothing against charleston but it is always them or nmcc that wins it.

I really don't know what to say, if kennett plays like that in the district tnmt they will win it. they had control of the game from the outset and finished it. cvill played hard and deserves credit for that. that is the kennett team that went to the playoffs last year. I wouldnt count them out just yet for the district title.
Caruthersville had an off night tonight..If they had played good, I think it would have been decided by a few points. I'll Kennett their credit. Fred had a pretty good game tonight

Its called a life, a wife and a family.. Unlike all of you, I have other obligations other than Semoball. I don't back down from my post unlike all you Kennett posters. Cville was just outplayed tonight plain and simple. Kennett had the better scheme tonight. I'm still puzzled why Cville didn't press any at all tonight? I guess the only bright spot for Cville was Monroe and Taylor on the inside, other than that, they were just outplayed. I wouldn't get to cocky Kennett, districts is just around the corner and Charleston is still looking tough. I just don't see Cville competing this year for districts the way they played tonight. Maybe things can change before then but I dunno. Eat it up now Kennett, all this barking you are doing just proves everyone's point about Kennett being cocky and bad sportsman. Win graciously bc it will always come back to bite you in the rear later. Side note though, Kennett graduates 12 varsity players next year, let me see you guys come back on here when Cville returns the same team and you have your JV move up.
In defense of the Kennett players, no posts are from our team. We understand we beat a very good and well-coached team tonight. It was just our night to be more strong willed. That is what is awsome about competing...next time it may not be our night, therefore we have to continue to find ways to improve. We appreciate the support from all Kennett fans. And good luck to all SE Missouri teams. I hope we are represented in Columbia in all classes. Of course, would love for us to be one of those, but our kids and coaching staff fully understand the task that lies ahead.

Never wished bad on anyone? Tell me where I wish bad on Kennett? All I said, I would love to see all the Kennett supporters next year when they aren't as good as this year. You see me support my team win or lose. I supported Cville during many 0-10 football seasons and many losing basketball seasons. Just seems that the Kennett supporters come and go if the team is doing good like this year. I think Kennett has a great team, always said they did. As coach Vaughan said, it was just their night tonight, they got hyped for the game and just outplayed Cville tonight. If Cville doesn't win districts I will pull for Kennett but the way you posters sound on here, Kennett is this unstoppable force that no one can beat. Anyone can be beat on any night! I must say the people posting on this website are complete idiots and should not be allowed on. Not all of us are complete morons and spend our lives on this website. As a Kennett fan it makes me mad to see people talking trash. I'm very sorry you have to deal with our bad side. Everyone has them, but it's still not right. Goodness! If the prior posts are considered trash talk you wouldn't have lasted a day growing up in my neighborhood. Look at any posts from a fan of any team on here and you will find words as strong as any of these. Everyone is proud of the local team, including us. This is small town America and high school sports are great, same with middle school, little league, etc. Life is good. Wear your colors proudly. Mine are black and yellow.

Singling out a user in particular probably isn't the best way to do so. They're also black and gold. Maxpreps will tell you that. The previous comment was directed more at the people who type in broken English and have no clue what they are talking about. Bottom line, get a life. Their performance spoke much louder than any Internet thread can.
cheesehead don't feel to bad i got the same hazing after sikeston won. cvill will still be a force in the district tournament, they could beat us just as easily as we did them. not saying the game was easy just saying they are plenty good enough to beat us, just depends on how things go.
but if we have peaked with a preformance like last night, i'll take it because those kind of games will land us in columbia. we have a problem with consistancy though. we are capable of those games every night but for what ever reason we dont do it. not doing it will put us in the bleachers watching the district championship.

I have no theory about the game. Like I have said before, since apparently you can't read, Kennett just outplayed Cville and wanted it more, plain and simple. I don't feel bad at all, people can try and single me out all they want but their opinions on me or my team don't matter. I know what my team is capable of and the way they played last night wasn't them. I gave all props to kennett on their win, never made one excuse, what else do you Kennett posters want? Cville will get their moment in the spotlight the next few years, just want to see the same Kennett posters back on here next year.

I do not think we have peaked at all, that is one of the few games that we have shown our potential this year. someone else up there said that we have peaked and cvill and charleston are still getting better,thats the reason i said anything about peaked.

Kennett surely needed to play like they did last night, that put them back in the mix. I would say now Charleston is the team to beat Kennett a not so close second with C-ville coming in 3rd and twin rivers the sleeper. As shown with them almost beating kennett. That is unless they are in Charlestons side of the bracket. Then its goodnight Irene. I predict it will be Charleston and whatever team out of the others that want it most. Kennett being the favorite unless the win last night relaxes them to much again.
yeah right now charleston should be the favorite but i think kennett is capable of beating them based on the first two quarters of the knt-charleston game. the only difference in the second half was kennett didnt hit open shots and charleston did, so they pulled away.not saying we will win , it is charlestons to loose in my opinion.
Kennett had 1 rebound in the third quarter. That's what beat them. Rebounds against Caruthersville = 15 point win.

One last thought about C'vill. They are loosing the big man next year and two or three more starters, bench was well and j.v. I like Kennett's chances again next year with most of j.v moving up (only one lost) and are own awesome freshman KV. Just my opinion.

The only starter Cville loses is Vohland Fonda. The only seniors on the bench are Perry Middleton and David Shaw. Cville will return Taylor, Elbie Fonda, and McWilliams who are all juniors. They will return Johnson and Monroe who are just freshman. They have 3-4 really good JV kids that could help the varsity next year also. Cville is going to be good again next year. I hope they can keep improving for the district tournament this year!
Yeah mule1993, The Kennett programs were wrong. Not sure where they got their info at but not just Cville's roster was wrong, a few others also. The only starter Cville is losing is V. Fonda. Claude Taylor is a junior along with E. Fonda. Cville has a great group of JV players also who just lost to Kennett by a few points in the BCT. So with most of the Varsity coming back and a few JV moving up, looks like Cville will be the team to beat next year. Look for pville to compete also, they have that great guard coming back. And on Monroe, He's a beast, and will be hard to stop in the next few years

I did watch the championship game in the JV tourney and judging by the scores, the real championship game happened in the semi-finals between Cville and Kennett.
