  • We have a legit shot honestly, if we play like we can and fight for it then we could..

  • guess this gives him more time to focus on winning another state title in track.

  • The only team I thought that could possibly beat sikeston was Hillcrest, now that Beckham is out I don't see anybody stopping sikeston. They've got the depth and can outrun any team in the state.

  • Just read an article, says he very possibly could be back in 2 weeks.

  • You cant recover from a torn muscle in your shooting hand in two weeks. lol

  • I stand corrected! but it does say it could take 6 weeks and it says he'll have to wear a splint or brace when he returns, I'm pretty sure only Kobe Bryant could do that :)

  • I guess he could just play left handed. Isn't the state championship in march anyway?

  • yeah it is

  • I dont know enough about hillcrest in basketball to say they can't make it without him. But let's say hypothetically he has to sit out 6 weeks, are they good enough to make it to a final 4 without him?

  • its the equivalent of scc losing otto.

-- Posted by Bleacherbum on Mon, Jan 31, 2011, at 5:07 PM
  • I don't think it's quite as big as SCC losing Otto but it is a big hit.

  • Is Green not a Mizzou football recruit?

    -- Posted by mule1993 on Mon, Jan 31, 2011, at 5:19 PM
  • He's a recruit for about every major D-1 team, he's like the 4th overall football recruit, and number 1 WR.. But he's pretty much said he isn't goin to Mizzou

I've heard about Dorial being out. What the fans of the other schools have to hope for is an upset in districts probably. Knowing the competitiveness of the kid, I guarantee he comes back if they get past districts. However, I still think Soldan would be a very tough team for the finals if Sikeston were to make it.
