• But in my opinion Fred Garmon gets it.. With his 23 points in the championship game and great ball skills will get it..

  I would put V. Fonda on that list before Claude Taylor, although C. Taylor is a good choic also. Nice list by the way. I really liked that Shavers kid from Kennett, dont' know about player of the year but he is a great ball handler and good on defense.

• I think Fred Garmon deserves top honor based on both times he has played us this year. I'm impressed with him. To me, Claude Taylor had a bigger game in BHC championship game than Vohland and he had an awesome BHC semifinal game vs. Portageville. Portagville game might be the best Claude has looked all year. Vohland and Elbie Fonda are both very deserving. Elbie doesn't get enough credit, he does the dirty work to get things going and plays great D. To be honest, the four from cville and several from Kennett deserve all conference honors. Both good teams and good players. Side note **Vohland scored 28 or 29 at Meridian Tuesday, I know that isn't BHC but that is still worth mentioning.

• To get BHC Player of the Year you have to be a SR. So that rules out some of those under classmen listed, althought some of them have had good seasons.

• I would go with Garmon, but Taylor was the main reason why they beat Pville so bad in the Tourney, so my second goes to him.

• I did not know they had to be a senior to get BHC player of year, my fault. It was a descent list though. several good players in the BHC.

• Taylor from Cville is just a Jr. The program listing in BHC program said he was a Sr. but it was a typo.

• That is a false statement. You dont HAVE to be a senior to win the player of the year award. It is though somewhat of an unwritten rule.

• The player of the year does have to be a senior. Last year it was Jimmy Gooden.
