Tuesday Night

Hey, are there any good Tri-County grudge matches tomorrow night?

Tomorrow is Holcomb vs. Campbell at Campbell. It honestly shouldn't be much of a game on paper, but this is one of the oldest and most bitter rivalries in small school semo sports, much less the Tri-Co. It seems to run in cycles, and right now Holcomb has the upper hand, but crazy things happen in every sport between them.

Ok, thanks. I guess I will hold off until semi-final night of the conference tournament.

Risco at North Pem ! Larry you are gonna luck out this year cause the tournament is at Clarkton this year ! Wear a helmet !

Bernie had alot of trouble at Clarkton last year; kinda getting to be a tradition for visiting teams.

Never been to Clarkton. Can't wait!

Maybe if the game wouldn't turn into a MMA event for every school that plays at or against Clarkton they wouldn't get that reputation. I'm not gonna get into all the stuff that happened that night. It's in the past let it go.

jpaawhite didn't say anything to put Clarkton down. Make sure you understand what he was talking about before you get fired up about something thats nothing.

Pretty sure you gave the wrong person . I don't recall bashing Clarkton at all . If my above post was the worse thing ever said about the sportmanship at Clarkton then you guys don't have much to worry bout . If you can find other posts on here of me bashing Clarkton please be my guest and point them out .

I'll admit I talk Risco up a lot and am very proud of our boys but I don't put down any other teams on here by no means . Clarkton has some good ball players and I know quite a few very good people from Clarkton .

I am not personally a fan of Risco, but whether it be on the court or in the stands, Risco demonstrates much better sportsmanship than Clarkton. I'm not sure if the state has a limit on the number of technicals a player can get before having to be removed from the team, but if they do I have a hard time believing certain players from Clarkton wouldn't have been removed already. It doesn't matter who Clarkton is playing, every game hosted there is controversial.

Once again I have not bashed Clarkton , its school or any of its players by no means . Good Luck on the rest of your season .

Neither school's sportsmanship impresses me, but I'd say Clarkton still takes the case as the worst. However, when you have kids from Risco doing backflips across the floor when they win, they are running a close race. But behavior like that, or technical fouls, or ejections, anything of that nature from hs kids shouldn't come as a suprise when you look at how the pros act. Sports has become a "look at me" world, in the moments that should be about the team. It starts at the top, and works its way down.

Backflips vs intentional fouls ............ I'll take backflips ! But I agree sportmanship on all levels has gone to crap . NBA teams do not even shake hands after games any more ! What kind of message does that send to kids ?

It's a more physical ball game the farther south you go it seems like. I remember back in 2008 when Gideon and Clarkton played in the 2nd round of districts and it was absolutly nuts. I have never witnessed anything like that in a high school basketball game. I went to a MMA fight and a basketball game broke out.

i agree with many others on this post that clarktons sportsmanship leaves something to be desiredespecially on the basketball court playing at clarkton is like attending a football game not a basketball game

I haven't seen either team but I have heard a lot of horror stories about games with Clarkton and at Clarkton.
