I believe NMCC will have a real good JV team this year. A lot will depend on how many Sophomores and Freshmen play varisty. I'm thinking and hoping a lot of them. But it is a big class, so JV should be fine.

  • Sikeston, Kennett, NMCC and Malded all have real good Freshman and Sophomore classes but with Malden and NMCC some of the best talent will play up like buck said.

From the JV teams I saw last year, I'd say Sikeston was the best, then Charleston, then Bernie. The rest are no where near what them three were IMO.

  • Idk about Charleston's JV this year.. Alot of those kids from last year will move up to varsity.. They had a 15-1 record last year, and beat Sikeston.. That was last year though.. So I guess we shall see..

  • Last year South Pem's JV was pretty good. I have no idea how many of them are moving up to Varsity this year though.

  • Dont know much about these teams this year, I guess since theyre all small schools, most of their best Sophs will probalby be playing Varsity.

Ought to be a competitive tournament.

Buddy was telling me about the ND JV tourney... Anyone know the times? Worth going?

-- Posted by Kobeyashi on Mon, Nov 19, 2012, at 2:39 PM
  • There is 10 - 12 Bernie Jv's moving up for this year from last year but Bernie's Jv will still be real good this year as well. Maybe not quite as good as last year but not far off!

  • Kobeyashi: Not sure on times but the tournament is usually pretty good. Cape, ND, Sikeston, Jackson always have good games against each other. 8 team tournament in all I believe

  • Kennett could have one of the best in the area but I think most of them will be playing varsity.

    Sikeston def. Farmington

    Bluff def. Cape

  • Does anyone know who won the Bell City JV tournament tonight?

-- Posted by semolian on Wed, Nov 21, 2012, at 10:36 PM
  • Cape's jv is missing a ton of the typical players to the varsity team. There are 3 freshman on the varsity roster, 1 of which is starting. Several sophomores are varsity as well.

  • @ semolion

SCC beat Bloomfield by 11 or 12 points.

Bullet, is it their JV, varsity, or both where kids have quit?

-- Posted by sideline starter on Tue, Nov 27, 2012, at 12:19 PM
  • Both. And some of the Juniors didn't even go out. They also have the issue with the Booker kid who can't play. Could be a long year for the Tigers
