    He said underclassmen... Not immature!

I'm not sure what grade he is in, but their is a pretty talented guard at Scott City... Trent Pobst

    Might be worth talking to.

  • Fred Thatch Jr, if 8th graders qualify!

  • We have Delfinko Bogan and Willie Jimmerson on our team right now they will be Jrs. We are looking for 8 more guys to join the SWARM next year since the bulk of our team is going to be graduates. I've called other coaches and have came up with a list of about 45 that I'll type up and post sometime later, however the post was made to see if any potential players may have been overlooked considering we don't get to see every team play.

Any Kid that isn't a senior when school starts in August is what we are looking for to bring in for a camp/observation for opportunity to play on next years Semo Swarm team.

Corbyn Blissett from Sikeston is a Junior I believe and he could make some noise depending on how healed he is from his torn ACL

Kyle Moore from Senath is a very good basketball player. I think he'd fit in just great with the Swarm next season!

  • Any Kids from South Pem, Portageville, Hayti, or C'ville ? I played in the Bootheel Conference back in the day so I know it's some players down the way that I may have missed.

  • Chase Steffens, Ryan Palmer, and Elwood Voss from Saxony all look very promising... If I'm correct, they'll all be juniors this year?!

  • I think the kid from ND is Grant Ressel, not Russel Grant

    -- Posted by lebron_durant on Mon, Aug 12, 2013, at 2:12 PM
  • Brandon Burden - Hayti - 11th

  • has anyone seen any freshman from jackson?

    -- Posted by basketball_boy on Tue, Aug 20, 2013, at 5:44 PM
  • because I've seen 2 with some potential

    -- Posted by basketball_boy on Tue, Aug 20, 2013, at 5:48 PM
  • Jackson has three sophomores that are solid and have worked very hard over the summer. They are all guards and we look to see good things out of them this season. They may not see any varsity time because we are very stacked on varsity but the talent is there. All three are in the 6' 2" range and are good shooters and assist players.

  • LeBron--You are correct. It is Grant Ressel from ND

-- Posted by crackerjack on Sat, Sep 28, 2013, at 4:20 PM
  • Lilman. Who are the Jackson kids. Im a Jackson fan and would like to know what we have to look forward too.

    -- Posted by JacksonTF-1000 on Sat, Sep 28, 2013, at 7:28 PM
  • Garret Walker, Jake Smith, Grant Ward are the Jackson sophomores.

-- Posted by Native Father on Sat, Sep 28, 2013, at 7:39 PM
  • Akeem Nelson will be sophomore or atleast top 2-3 in area. Kennett has several sophomores who can play. Rantrell Caruthers, Andre Oliver, Carlos Turner, etc. Most of these kids play AAU ball in Arkansas and I believe Nelson played for Team Ramey out of St. Louis.

  • Thank you. I will look forward to seeing them all. Hopefully this will be a good year for Jackson and they will be ready to keep them rolling in the future. I will say i saw Smith play Jv last year a couple times and was very impressed.

  • Let me throw Chandler Young of Dexter into the mix. He is a sophomore this year who will start on the varsity. Very good player.

  • Coach Porter, Jarvis Johnson, Contrell Johnson, and Glen Jackson from South Pem. All are Juniors. There is also a freshman named Michael Smith from South Pem, great guard.

  • Thanks for the additional players to scout. We currently have 7 players for our next year Swarm team. After the area Christmas tournaments we will pick up 3 more after further evaluations and review of who's playing spring baseball.

The sophomores you guys have listed are probably all quality players; we just have to measure them on how they'd compare to playing all 17 year old kids. The summer camp we did in August helped us out tremendously locating a lot of young talent. The idea of expanding the Swarm to two teams was considered, but the task would've been big for just a few members to run. A 15U and 16U team would help out are 17U tons, from the exposure to AAU alone. With that said anyone interested in helping out contact me via twitter (@coachporterjp3) and I'll get you my phone number.
