Well Zalma has been playing like crap lately. If I talked a certain way, I would probably use a few choice words on how they are playing right now as compared to the start of the season when they should have beaten Leopold at the Woodland Int. I think Oak Ridge can beat Leopold here for its technically a neutral court. The game that actually intrigues is the consolation matchup (potential matchup) between Greenville and Marquand. Which team is worse?

Have you been at the Zalma games? Just wondering since you said they are playing like crap. Pretty general statement since they have only 2 returning starters, no seniors, mostly sophmores. I think if you ask the teams Zalma has played they would not say "they are playing like crap". I think on any given day they have a chance at most teams in the conference. They played MH pretty close last night at MH.

There were no scheduled games on monday. I don't know what will happen tommorrow if some of the schools are still off. Several years ago it snowed when Oak Ridge hosted the tournament, the parking lots were cleared & they played.I am sure they will try to keep the tournament on schedule. I will post something either way this afternoon.

I think this tourn could be very competitive considering that MH beat Zalma by 4, Leopold beat MH by 1 & Oak Ridge by 4.

it is impossible for Leopold to play both MH and Oak Ridge as they are both on the bottom of the bracket.
Last week i would have said that Leopold beats Oak Ridge, but after Oak Ridge beat Oran, I'm leaning towards Oak Ridge. It will depend on how well Oak Ridge is able to knock down open shots.

I am just stating that this season they have had several close games in this conference, hopefully it will make for an exciting tournament. Personally I think Oak Ridge will take 1st.

Just as the seeds go' Leopold has the best chance of winning the tournament. Chaffee beat Oak Ridge in the Advance tournament in the begining of the season. Oak ridge has been playing a lot better in the second half of the season,They have an outside shot. I haven't seen enough of Chaffee or Meadow Heights to pass judgement. It will be really hard for Marquand to move on to the second round.

The forecast for Friday evening calls for light accumulating snow in some areas. I know Leopold and Oak Ridge are difficult towns to travel to and from in snowy conditions. I was curious if championship round games will be played on Friday. If the games are postponed would they be played on Saturday? Please post if the games are rescheduled. I'm headed out the door with a suitcase just incase I have to stay at a motel after the Bernie / Notre Dame game due to deteoriating road conditions. I will check back for farther updates regarding this tournament. Please post score updates if the tournament takes place on Friday evening.

Sometimes the public schools can't look that far ahead. The obvious thing to do was to see what the roads were like this morning and make the call then. It seems like alot of Administration do not want to do any kind of extra corricular activities on weekends.

I agree most administrators do not like to play games on Saturday. However, I doubt if this would be an issue for some of the administrators involved in the decision. I know some of the administrators at the schools involved are huge supporters of high school sports. You won't find anyone that supports high school sports more than the school administrators at Leopold. I do not know the administrators at Chaffee and Oak Ridge. I understand if Chaffee does not want to play a game that does not involved their school on a Saturday.
I was unable to determine what the call this morning from reading your comments. I am guessing there is no game tonight but I hope I am wrong.

This is an interesting thought. It would require playing the game at 4:30 or 5:00 p.m. I wouldn't be opposed to playing the game this early. But I predict it won't happen. My predictions have been wrong before, however.

I wonder what will happen if scc & sikeston are off school wed. Will they play the game anyway. Just about all schools have a policy that if school is not in session games cannot be played. Unless this game is the exception.
