Really? I thought we were supposed to play Caruthersville that day.

Crader????
Can you confirm this? Do I need to go to the Show Me Center and buy tickets? I find it hard to believe two Cooksons would be selected to officate this game. I'm not saying Jay Cookson is a bad offical. I don't know Brad Cookson. However, I cannot believe Sikeston agreed to this. Is this really a true story? I don't want to go over to the Show Me Center and ask for tickets for a game that is not real. Is this a true story? I haven't heard anything about this.

Have you heard anything about this? I haven't.
-- Posted by drawmules on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 12:23 PM
Game is official. Word is that shaq is making a halftime appearance and is playing a 1 on 1 game against Neal Boyd
-- Posted by cletusleroy on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 12:24 PM
if it is correct, i don't know if it will really be much of a game. SCC is not the same team they were with Stuart Johnson. He could have been the best or second best player for just about any other team in the christmas tournament. He was able to finish so many passes from Hatchett in the half court.
They really don't have any other high level Varsity players outside of Otto and Bobby. If Johnson was still playing, i would be excited about the game. I'll probably still go if it is really on, but I'm pretty sure Sikeston will win easily.
-- Posted by semoballfan1 on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 12:28 PM
I don't believe Shaq is coming to the game. CRADER???

I just exchanged email with a Show Me Center representative, and he knew nothing about it.
No tickets to be bought, drawmules...

Show-Me center has the open date and the schools agreed this morning! It has been voted on and will happen! You heard it hear first!!!!!!!
Contract will be sent to Show Me center after they decide to play either in Sikeston or at the Show-Me Center! SOON
-- Posted by HOOPSIDIDITAGAIN on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 12:41 PM
How Pathetic.....why doesnt sikeston go to SCC and play? Secondly, this is typical....ND just beat SCC so now big bad sikeston has to flex their muscle and show the world they can beat SCC too!! If they had an AD that actually did his job, they wouldnt have an open date anyway!! Three words for ya HOOPS....No One Cares!!
-- Posted by RedShirt on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 12:48 PM
Cry to mommy then! Cause if SIkeston goes to SCC then we would have people in the gym at lunch on that school day!. Since SCC's gym hold 5 people!
-- Posted by HOOPSIDIDITAGAIN on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 12:51 PM
I'm willing to bet that thousands of people in the area do care, redshirt.
-- Posted by yah-yah on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 1:07 PM
Easy there, RedShirt and HOOPS.
The "hating" (as the kids say) is getting a little too prevalent around here, so let's all stop before we start in this thread.
-- Posted by Rachel Crader (Moderator) on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 1:15 PM
RedShirt, I think they are searching for a slightly larger venue than Ronnie Cookson Gymnasium. And if you think Sikeston is just wanting to play SCC because ND just beat them, you're out of your mind. After last year's game, why would you not want to play? Huge payday for both teams.
-- Posted by semohoops on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 1:24 PM
I haven't said anything bad...
Just a couple of pokes! I could care less what he/she thinks. I do know that this game has been in the works for over 3 weeks and just agreed on this week. It could have been agreed before ND beat SCC! I bet more than Redshirt thinks care about this game!
And Yes I still think Sikeston will win by 15+
-- Posted by HOOPSIDIDITAGAIN on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 1:25 PM
I really didn't want to walk across campus to buy tickets today. However, part of me wanted to because it would have been nice to see Sikeston play Scott County Central.
I FEEL SORRY FOR THE WORKERS AT THE SHOW ME CENTER. I BET THEIR PHONES WERE RINGING OFF THE HOOK WHEN PEOPLE READ THIS.
-- Posted by drawmules on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 1:54 PM
I don't see this being too much of a game. I'll go watch it, but I can't say I'm really that excited about it. Won't be the best game I'll watch this year, I'd put money on that.
-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 2:02 PM
I have heard from more than one reliable source that the game will happen. Why do you feel sorry for the workers at the show-me center. It's their job to field calls.
-- Posted by yah-yah on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 2:10 PM
Lets see here. ND beat Sikeston by 5 at home and then ND beat SCC by 9 @ SCC. I will say SCC by 15+.
-- Posted by bean84 on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 2:41 PM
I'd probably say Sikeston by about 15.
By the way, the final to the SCC-ND game was 69-62, not 71-62 as I'm seeing reported several places....unless there was a basket added for ND after the fact, or one that was missed by the scoreboard operator. I made sure to double check the scoreboard before I left and it said 69-62. ND was up by 10, and Dominique Porter hit a 3 with 10 seconds or so remaining.
-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 2:50 PM
This game has been in the works for sometime now, just nothing has been concrete until this morning! So, to all of those that think Sikeston wants to play SCC because ND just beat them are sadly mistaken!
-- Posted by sportsfanatic on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 3:08 PM
Its a fact. The game is on...Again! I heard the same. Dont know about officials though.
-- Posted by BillYung on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 4:11 PM
farm,
the final was 71-62, Tanner Hiett scored at the buzzer and they counted it. Also, I was at both the nd-sikeston and nd-scc game. I have seen sikeston 4-5 times since then and I think that sikeston has gotten a lot better. but the only way nd beat scc was that they handled the press. Sikeston can not handle the scc press. Their guards will give it to hatchett and porter. Should be a good one though. the number two and three teams in the area (ND is #1). Always going to be a great atmosphere.
-- Posted by bean84 on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 4:21 PM
Thanks for the clarification bean. I couldn't figure out where 71 was coming from.
Unfortunately I missed the Sikeston-ND game, but I got a pretty good account from a couple Sikeston fans. I have also watched Sikeston play numerous times (somewhere between 5-10, not sure exactly). They have definitely improved since the first of the season. I just don't know how SCC will handle Sikeston's depth and size advantage. The Braves will definitely need more than 4 players in the box score to win this game.
I like your thoughts on the rankings :). Awfully tough to call though, with all the teams having losses to each other, as well as some quality wins.
-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 4:28 PM

They still say the game is on . . . But I believe you but are you sure???

Still in the works, according to officials from both schools.

Hey Crader when you find out can you try to find out when tickets go on sell if there is such a game. Sikeston did have a game scheduled against Caruthersville on the date mentioned. I guess Sikeston could have dropped Caruthersville but who did Scott CountyCentral drop?
-- Posted by drawmules on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 6:01 PM
SCC had a game available! Sikeston moved Caruthersville to the 17th.
Game is on and I bet tickets will be available next week sometime!
-- Posted by HOOPSIDIDITAGAIN on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 6:22 PM
SCC doesn't have a game available and neither does Sikeston since they picked up Caruthersville. The only way this game could happen (which I am still skeptical) is if both schools were able to get out of a game they have scheduled. If that were to happen I would imagine Sikeston would be dropping Caruthersville and SCC would drop Advance. It might even be a situation like last year where Advance and Caruthersville would play each other as a prelim game.
But until something more substantial than a sports forum declares the game is on, I will remain skeptical.

Sikeston is supposed to play Kelly tomorrow night. If they get a dusting of snow tonight over there, what will Kelly do? Call school off! They have already called and said that if school is called off tomorrow for them, they DO NOT want to reschedule the game. Game open for Sikeston!
I love you to Hoops!

I will offer a prediction on whether or not I believe the game will take place later tonight.
-- Posted by drawmules on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 11:15 PM
HOOPS, I guess I'm out of touch too, but I say you can have your state ranking, I'll take ND's win in the head to head matchup. Rankings aren't important until the team somebody roots for is ranked ;).
-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Thu, Jan 28, 2010, at 11:56 PM
I predict the game will be played. I could write three paragraphs explaining why I believe the game will be played. But I'm too tired.
After attending last year's game, I told myself I would never go through the hassel of attending a rematch between these two schools. Last year I had to park in a hog lot. I had to sit in the third row from the top in the upper deck even though I arrived an hour before the Saxony Lutheran / Oran preliminary game. It also took me almost an hour to get out of the parking lot after the game was over.
With all of this being said, a rematch between these two teams was on my Christmas Wish List. Therefore, if there is a game between these two schools I will probably buy a ticket and arrive much earlier than last year. I will not sit in the third row from the top, however. I plan on being much closer to the action this time around.
-- Posted by drawmules on Fri, Jan 29, 2010, at 12:21 AM
I doubt anybody will have to sit that high this year.
-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Fri, Jan 29, 2010, at 12:23 AM
If this game were to happen, i would pick sikeston to come out on top because like semoballfan1 said, SCC is juss not the same team without Johnson. And like Redshirt said, it is coincidental that all this talk about this game comes after SCC's loss to Notre Dame. Bulldogs by 10+
-- Posted by eagle agent 00 on Fri, Jan 29, 2010, at 12:23 AM
Coincidental? Maybe. But Scott Central is the one pushing for the game. And you do realize they have been pushing for the game long before Tuesday's game against Notre Dame.
-- Posted by semohoops on Fri, Jan 29, 2010, at 12:44 AM
I agree on the attendance Farmboy! Well, it looks like one piece of the puzzle is complete for this game to happen. Not one snowflake or ice on the ground and Sikeston called off school! Surprise!
-- Posted by sportsfanatic on Fri, Jan 29, 2010, at 7:15 AM
I guess you are out of touch Farmboy,
You all beat a team that had one offensive set! WOW...Our athletes made that game close, now we have an offensive game plan to go with the talent! I just say watchout, then you will be in touch when Sikeston finishes Districts as Champs!
#1 Sikeston
#2 Notre Dame
#3 Poplar Bluff
#4 SCC
#5 Kennett
That is my top 5
-- Posted by HOOPSIDIDITAGAIN on Fri, Jan 29, 2010, at 8:35 AM
Ha, alright. Typical.
-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Fri, Jan 29, 2010, at 9:44 AM
sportsfanatic,
I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist, but I have to admit it is very, very strange that Sikeston called off school today. As most people in the area know, Sikeston is always the very last and least likely school in the area to cancel due to snow. If you recall, during the snow we had a few weeks ago, every school in the immediate area, SCC, EP and Charleston all closed. Sikeston was open. I can't even begin to recount the number of times every school in Scott, New Madrid, Stoddard and Mississippi Counties were closed....except Sikeston. When I got up this morning and heard Sikeston school was closed without a stitch of snow on the ground, I thought that was very, very strange. Now I wonder...
-- Posted by football monkey on Fri, Jan 29, 2010, at 10:10 AM
The schools were closed because the superintendent went through a lot of hassle with phonecalls from parents mad that their students were risking it to go to school so he called it a bit earlier this time since everyone thought this was gonna get real bad.
-- Posted by s-town4292 on Fri, Jan 29, 2010, at 11:25 AM
Indeed. Quite a bit earlier...as opposed to not calling off school at all. Is the game tonight also cancelled?

Will the cheerleaders have facepainting before the game? What is the Over/Under attendance for the girls game at 6:30?? Inquiring minds wanna know!!!

HOOPS...you must a peeping Tom...Im actually wearing a red skirt today LMAO....
-- Posted by RedShirt on Fri, Jan 29, 2010, at 2:15 PM
To answer RedShirt...
1.) The line is SCC +8
2.) No Neal E. Boyd. General Larry Platte will be singing the National Anthem.
3.) No Dewitt either, but Stubby Clapp may be there.
4.) No alumni game. There is a family reunion that weekend, so that knocks out both teams.
5.) Face painting? Depending on ticket sales. Might have to resort to using the 97 cent cans of spray paint from Wal-Mart.
6.) I think the O/U for the girls game started out at 1,000.

I have to admit I thought you were joking when I read this report at noon Thursday. Like in a football game or any game you can bet the Over/Under.
So, they say the Over/Under is 56 points in the Superbowl. You can bet if the score will go over 56 points or it will be under 56 points.

I have not seen sikeston play this year but scc plays this year without much depth. They win games by running up the score in the first half. That's why they lose to teams like Dallas-Lincoln and Notre Dame. So my pick this year is sikeston.

Which do you think has better attendance: the ND-Cape Central and Jackson-Cape Central games at SMC combined or Sikeston-SCC. I'm putting my money on Sikeston-SCC.

A little decorum, people. Attacking each other is not allowed in the semoball forums and I'm getting a little tired out it.
Beast Mode, are you really upset at Sikeston fans for complimenting Sikeston? Really? Just say "scoreboard" or something. Sheesh.
And, please dear Sikeston friends...DON'T FEED THE TROLLS (Caps too much?). Just say make some vague references to the postseason...
As always, I love that you all contribute...I just don't like having to delete contributions. Please continue to click on the yellow exclamation mark to report inappropriateness and I shall govern.
Assuming I'm able to score a press pass, I will of course be covering the game live. :)

This is for everybody that's ranking the SEMO teams. They are all good. It seems as if everyone is rooting for there own team but when you are RANKING them you cant go by wins alone. Losses are important. So what i did for yall is went to.... MAXPREPS.....and here is the most recent rankings of the whole STATE of MISSOURI regardless of class. This should help you all out..
1. St. Francis Borgia
2. Webster Gove
3. Hazelwood Central
4. Kearny
5. Nixa
6. O'Hara
7. Branson
8. McClure
9. SIKESTON
10.Raymore-Peculiar
15.Poplar Bluff
17.Scott County Central
This should help you out. There are only 3 SEMO teams ranked in the top 25 in missouri. The teams that are not on there have losses to down teams and thats why. Please be realistic in you rankings.
But here are my rankings..(MY OPINION)..DO take shots at me but this is the best one right now. GUARANTEED!!!!!! TOP 5
1. Sikeston
2. Poplar Bluff
3. Notre Dame
4. Scott County
5. New Madrid

this game will be to close to call, but im going for scc, just hope they dont have sikeston best 6th player ref bill calling the game
-- Posted by kmasters on Sat, Jan 30, 2010, at 11:11 PM
kmart, that's an excellent point! Sikeston wins every game because of Joe Bill! Seriously, is that all you could come up with? Try something intelligent next time.
-- Posted by yah-yah on Sat, Jan 30, 2010, at 11:54 PM
It appears that Joe Bill has a 5 year contract extension with Sikeston. He has dropped all other games. I know that this is going to cause a lot of turmoil... but he accepted the highest bidder..seriously, to keep beating a dead horse, move on to your next complaint. Once again, the referees are assigned by the head of the association, not by the schools, coaches or any other school affiliated person. Hang on to the pipe dream though, it may be all you have.
-- Posted by barkleyfan on Sun, Jan 31, 2010, at 8:01 AM
I posted this on another board, but I will put it here as well.
In the game last year SCC had a total of SIX fouls called on them the entire game!! There could have been a TON more called on both teams. Not just on the last play, but the play before that and the rest of the game. Is it maybe the fact that SCC was 9 for 17 from the FT line in the game?
There are so many would have, could have and should haves in the game it's and endless debate. But, it's a few that turn the best game ever played in SEMO into a cry me a river fest its ridiculous!
-- Posted by mandm96 on Sun, Jan 31, 2010, at 10:30 AM
Amen.... mandm.... if they will also remember, it wasnt Joe Bill that was standing in front of the last play...

Hey sportsfanatic
Is CW gonna be happy to see you this week or are you gonna be happy to see him?
-- Posted by Rocket689 on Sun, Jan 31, 2010, at 11:50 AM
s-town, I try to handle it like I do with fans from other schools who do pretty much the same thing...call them out on it, present facts...not much else you can do. I alread had a post aimed at an ND 'fan' on another thread deleted because apparently it was worded too strongly. Idiots are idiots plain and simple, it doesn't matter what school they come from.
-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Sun, Jan 31, 2010, at 4:27 PM
What's funny is that I don't think any Sikeston fans are encouraged when they see Joe Bill calling a Sikeston game. I know I'm not, and I like the guy personally.
-- Posted by BW23 on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 1:37 PM
Bob Godwin is the best offical in Southeast Missouri. He should get this game. However, officals rarely make a difference in a game.
I would probably appoint McFerron, Godwin & Rice for this game. I know Rice mainly sticks with college games. This is a good reason for him to do this game. This game will be similiar to a college game.
We have several good officals in Southeast Missouri. However, McFerron, Rice and Godwin are the best of the best. The best of the best really should get this game.
-- Posted by drawmules on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 2:03 PM
Although I doubt many Sikeston fans would say anything, and I doubt it would make a difference in the game, I don't think SCC's superintendent should ref this one.
-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 2:06 PM
Are you going to attend the game FarmBoy06? I purchased tickets Tuesday morning. I also purchased a ticket for the Cape Central / Notre Dame game.
I have a question for my beloved friends that opperate the Show Me Center. Why are tickets for the Cape Central / Notre Dame game $4 and tickets for the Scott Central / Sikeston game $7?
I am also curious why the Show Me Center charges a $2.95 convenience charge for each ticket when the tickets are ordered online. Why not charge $9.95 for the tickets? I would feel better about paying $9.95 for each ticket than paying a $2.95 convenience charge for each ticket. I paid a grand total of $14.75 in convenience charges for the five tickets I purchased.
-- Posted by drawmules on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 3:35 PM
I have to disagree on your picks for officials drawmules. In my opinion Godwin is far from the best official in Semo. I've watched him call for years and never have liked him as an official even when I didn't have a dog in the fight. If I had to pick the best I would go with either Drummond or Turlington. McFerron will not officiate this game. If you think SCC fans were upset over the choice of a Sikeston Chamber of Commerce President last year, it would pale in comparison to how upset Sikeston would be having the other team's Superintendent call the game.
-- Posted by Crash Davis on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 3:47 PM
Yeah I'll be there draw.
-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 3:58 PM
Please be nice to the officals everyone. Most of officals assigned to officate games north of Highway 60 are above average.
-- Posted by drawmules on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 6:00 PM
I think you would be surprised maybe of the number of officials that might decline doing this game!
-- Posted by mandm96 on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 6:33 PM
Just so you know Mitch Woods picked the officals for last year's game. You know Mitch and Coach Hollifield were brother inlaws.
-- Posted by sccfan22 on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 7:04 PM
Yah I'm sure that's exactly why he picked who he picked for refs. Wish I would have thought of that in the first place, coulda saved my self 5 dollars and a trip to Cape.
-- Posted by kingjames on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 7:17 PM
So far in this conspiracy we have Joe Bill Davis and Mitch Wood. Any other secret agents we should know about?
-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 8:02 PM
Farm, I heard that Mitch Wood, Joe Bill and Greg Holifield went out after the game and invited a special guest! This is the official who had the no call at the end of the game *HARMON* and sang we are the champions at the #1 Karaoke Bar in Cape. Then after a few songs together decide they could rule the world!!!
Anything else these idiots need to know! Like the actual zip codes and addresses of their players! LOL
Go Sikeston!!!

Goodluck on the +30 I would just try and stay within 15 of Sikeston on this night...

Earth to mr dumas Sikeston +30 means Sikeston will win by 30

-- Posted by sccfan22 on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 11:44 PM
haha it sure does! I still think scc has a chance to win this game, don't count them out yet!
-- Posted by BuckMajor on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 11:45 PM
Nevermind! No chance LOL!
-- Posted by BuckMajor on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 11:46 PM
Well if this is true about bobby, i dont like SCC's chances very much. If this is the case, NMCC by 10+ on thursday
-- Posted by eagle agent 00 on Mon, Feb 1, 2010, at 11:58 PM
Actually if your an underdog in a game you get the + if your the favorite you get the - if front of the points.
If you are picked to win then it would be 30+.
Not trying to be a jerk, just running it down for you.
Got an e-mail out to check on the status of Hatchett. Once again, not trying to be a jerk and say you're lying but, I have to see it to believe it.
-- Posted by mandm96 on Tue, Feb 2, 2010, at 8:26 AM
I really hope Bobby isn't out. Sikeston needs to see as much competition as possible leading up to districts. Not only that, but I love watching Bobby run the point.
-- Posted by yah-yah on Tue, Feb 2, 2010, at 8:40 AM
Word I received was that he did tweak his ankle, but is expected to play tonight against Kelly.
-- Posted by mandm96 on Tue, Feb 2, 2010, at 3:06 PM
Ok so Bobby will not be 100% Sikeston 25+
-- Posted by sccfan22 on Tue, Feb 2, 2010, at 4:14 PM
Beast Mode ND Coach Wright is the Scott Central Coach. Coach Cookson sits there for moral support. He isn't on the payroll nor does he conduct practice. He's too busy trapping!!

as an nd fan, i think joe bill has done a great job this year
-- Posted by hawk79 on Tue, Feb 2, 2010, at 5:55 PM
Either way it goes, the fact that these schools are meeting AGAIN shows that there's some folk in the upper echelons of these school districts that have some sense and put by-gones where they need to be so that the kids can do what they do best.
Oh, if you didn't know, the girls teams of these schools will be the matinee this year at 6pm. Word has it that BOTH games will be webcast.

-- Posted by igobybob on Wed, Feb 3, 2010, at 2:34 PM
I just got back from the SCC vs NMCC game and looks like Bobby took another hard fall, and was limping around a bit. He a trooper tho I'm sure once all the adrenaline from the game against Sikeston starts going he'll be 100%.
Kony seemed to guard Otto pretty well, he had a few good blocks. Makes me think that maybe a smaller, stronger player could fare well against Otto. Or atleast keep him under 30.
-- Posted by thepurpleturtle on Thu, Feb 4, 2010, at 11:24 PM
Notre Dame had 6'7 Helle and Tolbert under the basket, and Otto had 31.
-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Fri, Feb 5, 2010, at 12:13 AM
Well i think everytime Sikeston play a sport people always have negative things to say about us. I mean all the hating really isnt called for. Scc already know who's going to win the game so i really dont know why the is waisting people money for. I mean we won last year and we can do the same this year. People been saying "oo they dont have Micheal Porter anymore." Okay yeah Porter was a very good player but look at how far we made it without him 15-1. So just because he's gone doesnt mean your going to run all over us. This is our house and we're going to show you who run it Feb 10. So everybody go and buy your tickets and watch and see how Sikeston Bulldogs get down.
-- Posted by AtrueSikestonteammate on Fri, Feb 5, 2010, at 1:56 PM

Announced at Sikeston-PB game tonight that tickets are almost sold out. You could be sitting up higher than you expected.
-- Posted by citizen cyborg on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 12:21 AM
Instead of Scott County Central playing NMCC at Memphis next year maybe they should play Sikeston at Memphis. The FedEx Center might be large enough to accommodate the crowd. I think it is unfortunate there is not a facility large enough in Southeast Missouri to accommodate the crowd.
-- Posted by drawmules on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 1:32 AM
I can hardly believe they sold 4-5K tickets in two days. I might be wrong, but it'd be very surprising.

-- Posted by RCIR on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 4:42 AM
Talked to Shannon from the SMC about 2:30pm yesterday and he said that they were sitting just over 2,600 tickets sold. There are plenty of tickets left.

Thanks mandm.
-- Posted by FarmBoy06 on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 10:08 AM
Everybody really needs to be realistic about this game, one team is not going to go in and completely destroy the other, it's just not going to happen, people wouldn't buy tickets if they didn't think it would be entertaining. The talk of SCC losing by 30 has only started because they lost a game.
-- Posted by semo2014 on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 11:15 AM
@RCIR - yes, I am doing BOTH games - girls and boys.
We will interview the superintendents of both school districts to talk about what's been happening academically.
Should be a great DH. First time seeing Sikeston this year since the Sikes/Jax game last season at the Fieldhouse (great facility I must say)
-- Posted by vincebrownkape1550 on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 1:10 PM
KFVS has been announcing on the news all week that they are also webcasting it just like last year. CAN'T WAIT!!!
-- Posted by sportie_gurl on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 3:35 PM
Who needs a webcast when you have Cover It Live? Right Crader???
-- Posted by drawmules on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 5:27 PM
Last year everybody said SCC would beat Sikeston by 30 after Sikeston had lost the previous week. SCC had one stumble and all of a sudden everybody thinks Sikeston will destroy them. People need to get a reality check. This will not be a blowout. SCC is still SCC and this will be a great game that people need to come see. It could be the game of the year once again.
-- Posted by semohoops on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 6:41 PM
@semohoops - people forget that Ronnie Cookson is still on the bench @ SCC, albeit as an assistant. And whenever Cookson is in the house, one word - DEFENSE.
-- Posted by vincebrownkape1550 on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 8:56 PM
Its funny how everyone on these threads give every team their due credit until it comes to SIKESTON. Draw had Bluff the number 1 team and they have drop two ina row( Sikeston-Cape)..Notre Dame is playing great and Sikeston is playing great. Now everyone is talking about SCC/Sikeston. No Sikeston fan has said that we were going to DESTROY any team..It doesnt matter how many points we win by..We do WIN..the remainder of the schedule is tough but we will pull out the victories.. Now everybody saying dont count out SCC and some say they will win the game. SCC just struggled against NMCC and we destroyed them..If we were to play NMCC right now we would beat them by atleast 15-20. Just like we did Bluff..who are both great teams night in and night out. Its going to be a great game but we will win..The only team ill be concerned about is Notre Dame because they beat us..thats it..Like i said on another thread..all these teams are good and going to represent us in the playoffs..but be realistic about it..SIkeston gets at it..Two players didnt beat us last year and they wont do it this year..So basically u got Bobby(great) and Otto(great) against..hold ya breath this will take a minute..:JaQualin,Darryl,Janeil,Will,Eli,Corey,Terry,and Martez..it'll be a long night for every opposing team we play..
-- Posted by respectthegame on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 9:23 PM
@respect - good to see Eli still in the mix. I like the way he attacks the basket. Consistent at drawing 3-point plays.
-- Posted by vincebrownkape1550 on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 9:53 PM
BTW, Caruthersville travels to Cape Central the night of the game - fyi.
-- Posted by vincebrownkape1550 on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 9:54 PM
Hey respectthegame i would like to know where the seniors from your "hold ya breath" list have sholarships to college from????

"good to see Eli still in the mix. I like the way he attacks the basket. Consistent at drawing 3-point plays."
I thought you said that you hadn't gotten to see Sikeston play yet this year?
-- Posted by sportsfanatic on Sat, Feb 6, 2010, at 10:28 PM
BuckMajor - They got scholarships from the "University of Crushing all of These Bootheel Teams", that's all they need to worry about right now. I dont know if they will be playing basketball at the next level. We will see.
-- Posted by respectthegame on Sun, Feb 7, 2010, at 5:25 AM
how many tickets have sold for this game so far?
-- Posted by kmasters on Sun, Feb 7, 2010, at 8:56 AM
Oh ok I see. Yea I guess that's all they need to worry about, forget the future! But yes I guess we shall see.
-- Posted by BuckMajor on Sun, Feb 7, 2010, at 9:23 AM
Exactly, buck. If they don't get basketball scholarships, they won't even let them into college.
-- Posted by yah-yah on Sun, Feb 7, 2010, at 11:05 AM
Buck Major..where did u go to school at..u need more education on comprehending things..they need to focus on the season at hand..i dont care if hey have sports scholarships..thats an individual things..they will go to school even if they dont get scholarships..in case u didnt know..Sikeston graduates 200+ a year and mostly everyone goes to school...the next time u read a newspaper about making the deans list and honor rolls look under the Sikeston section and see how all the names triple whatever school that you go to.
-- Posted by respectthegame on Sun, Feb 7, 2010, at 11:28 AM
Playing ball at the next level and going to school to get an education is two seperate things..i was all-state in track and field from my freshman to senior year and i went to school and came home for financial reasons and now im back in school but im not running track..
-- Posted by respectthegame on Sun, Feb 7, 2010, at 11:30 AM
Who cares who went to college or who didn't. This should be a good game, I don't think it will be as good as last years but still a good game. Does anyone know if the game will be on KFVS12 webcast. I looked on their website and couldn't find anything.

man I went to sikeston to cuz for a minute! I used to be goin ham there! I live on sunset! I was just askin a simple question because I wasn't sure if they were being looked at by any colleges. I didn't really need a novel about why they should go to college but not for sports even though there great athletes. But thanks for the analysis I understand now ... I think!?
-- Posted by BuckMajor on Sun, Feb 7, 2010, at 3:56 PM
Yes, KFVS hasn't webcasted a HS game all season, but now they realize they can make a quick buck off of sponsors so they decided to pick this one up.
-- Posted by sportsfanatic on Sun, Feb 7, 2010, at 4:18 PM
I find it funny buckmajor that New Madrid is being looked at for the first time in a LONG TIME and you've heavily regarded seniors who've we've cruished in all sports(football, basketball, wrestling,) this whole season. Here's a tip....get ready for next season. Sikeston.........
-- Posted by sbulldog4life on Mon, Feb 8, 2010, at 4:14 AM
Let's hear what the Sikeston fans have to say now.
SSC 70 Sikeston 51. Maybe they will brag about beating our 8 girl basketball team.
-- Posted by igobybob on Wed, Feb 10, 2010, at 11:04 PM
Sikeston got out-played. That's about all there is to say. SCC played inspired. Sikeston was a little hesitant. SCC came out with a chip on their shoulder. Sikeston did not. Losing Will to injury was a crushing blow and made any chance at coming back a monumental task. With the way he was shooting it and the way SCC was sagging in the paint, he could've single-handedly kept it a closer game. He was on his way to a huge night. But even if he had hit 10 3-pointers, I'm not sure Sikeston could've won.
-- Posted by semohoops on Wed, Feb 10, 2010, at 11:26 PM
igo..I think most of the knowledgeable Sikeston fans would have to say that SCC played a hell of a game! Myself included. They played a near perfect game and picked up the win. Congrats to them and Coach Wright and hopefully we will get to see them win another state championship.

Sikeston vs SCC at the Show Me Center Feb. 10 2010...IT IS ON!!!
Refs are Brad Cookson, Jay Cookson and Clay Gravitt... Now maybe now one will complain when Sikeston wins!!!
Replies
I haven't heard anything about this.
i call bs
The ref info is just hahahahaha, but the game is offical!!!
Crader
Have you heard anything about this? I haven't.
Game is official. Word is that shaq is making a halftime appearance and is playing a 1 on 1 game against Neal Boyd
if it is correct, i don't know if it will really be much of a game.
SOON
Cry to mommy then! Cause if SIkeston goes to SCC then we would have people in the gym at lunch on that school day!. Since SCC's gym hold 5 people!
I'm willing to bet that thousands of people in the area do care, redshirt.
Easy there, RedShirt and HOOPS.
The "hating" (as the kids say) is getting a little too prevalent around here, so let's all stop before we start in this thread.
RedShirt, I think they are searching for a slightly larger venue than Ronnie Cookson Gymnasium. And if you think Sikeston is just wanting to play SCC because ND just beat them, you're out of your mind. After last year's game, why would you not want to play? Huge payday for both teams.
I haven't said anything bad...
Just a couple of pokes! I could care less what he/she thinks. I do know that this game has been in the works for over 3 weeks and just agreed on this week. It could have been agreed before ND beat SCC! I bet more than Redshirt thinks care about this game!
And Yes I still think Sikeston will win by 15+
I really didn't want to walk across campus to buy tickets today.
I don't see this being too much of a game. I'll go watch it, but I can't say I'm really that excited about it. Won't be the best game I'll watch this year, I'd put money on that.
I have heard from more than one reliable source that the game will happen. Why do you feel sorry for the workers at the show-me center. It's their job to field calls.
Lets see here. ND beat Sikeston by 5 at home and then ND beat SCC by 9 @ SCC. I will say SCC by 15+.
This game has been in the works for sometime now, just nothing has been concrete until this morning! So, to all of those that think Sikeston wants to play SCC because ND just beat them are sadly mistaken!
Its a fact. The game is on...Again! I heard the same. Dont know about officials though.
farm,
the final was 71-62, Tanner Hiett scored at the buzzer and they counted it.
Rachel Crader???
They still say the game is on . . . But I believe you but are you sure???
Still in the works, according to officials from both schools.
Just because Show Me Center rep didn't have anything to share doesn't mean it won't happen. I'll be following up.
Bean, while I like your enthusiasm and wishful thinking, I think this might contradict your attempt at the standings....
Class 1
1. Scott County Central 14-1
2. Meadville 13-0
3. Dadeville 12-0
4. Glasgow 13-1
5. Richland 12-2
6. Pilot Grove 14-1
7. LaPlata 11-1
8. Montrose 12-1

Class 4

6. Notre Dame (Cape Girardeau) 13-4
7. Clayton 13-5
8. MICDS 13-3
9. Moberly 10-5
10. Kansas City Center 11-5
I don't care what anyone says about you SPORTSFANATIC... You are O.K. in my book!
Bean on the other hand is out of touch with reality!
Hey Crader when you find out can you try to find out when tickets go on sell if there is such a game. Sikeston did have a game scheduled against Caruthersville on the date mentioned. I guess Sikeston could have dropped Caruthersville but who did Scott CountyCentral drop?
SCC had a game available! Sikeston moved Caruthersville to the 17th.
Game is on and I bet tickets will be available next week sometime!
It's happining Crash.
I agree with Crash. But I hope our investigative reporter Rachel Crader is still investigating.
Sportsfanatic.....even with your hypothetical situation it still doesn't account for SCC who does not have game open.
The game is not officially on: http://semoball.com/story/1606473.html
Does that explain it enough for you Crash? LOL
It WILL be on. Received a phone call from one of the SCC players. They were told at practice today that the game WILL BE played! Come on Crader, you can't copy and paste out of the Standard Democrat! :) LOL
Both coaches have been notified... Both coaches have accepted and both school boards and AD's are on board!
SO CRADER, DRAWMULES and Crash it is going to happen!!!
I am Hoopsididitagain and I approve this message!!
Sportsfanatic is my VP!!!
I am Hoopsididitagain and He is Sportsfanatic and we approved this message!
Sikeston and SCC players are posting it on their status on FACEBOOK!!!
Be stupid for the players to do this if it wasn't TRUE!
I am Hoopsididitagain and I approve this message!
The Sikeston Standard Democrat writers are as much a part of semoball as I am, fanatic. :)
These developments are not a big secret, obviously, but we report what we can prove and that is all.
I know! I just wanted to razz you a bit!
Crader, call me and i will be your source... Then you can do what I have been doing all day. Printing the truth!
The game between SCC and Sikeston is officially on and will be played Feb. 10 at the Show-Me Center. Should be an exciting game between two talented, well coached teams regardless of classification. Come watch and enjoy. Stop the hateful comments and show some maturity, regardless of your age!! Good luck to both teams.
I will offer a prediction on whether or not I believe the game will take place later tonight.
HOOPS, I guess I'm out of touch too, but I say you can have your state ranking, I'll take ND's win in the head to head matchup. Rankings aren't important until the team somebody roots for is ranked ;).
I doubt anybody will have to sit that high this year.
If this game were to happen, i would pick sikeston to come out on top because like semoballfan1 said, SCC is juss not the same team without Johnson. And like Redshirt said, it is coincidental that all this talk about this game comes after SCC's loss to Notre Dame. Bulldogs by 10+
Coincidental? Maybe. But Scott Central is the one pushing for the game. And you do realize they have been pushing for the game long before Tuesday's game against Notre Dame.
I agree on the attendance Farmboy! Well, it looks like one piece of the puzzle is complete for this game to happen. Not one snowflake or ice on the ground and Sikeston called off school! Surprise!
Ha, alright. Typical.
sportsfanatic,
I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist, but I have to admit it is very, very strange that Sikeston called off school today.
The schools were closed because the superintendent went through a lot of hassle with phonecalls from parents mad that their students were risking it to go to school so he called it a bit earlier this time since everyone thought this was gonna get real bad.
Indeed. Quite a bit earlier...as opposed to not calling off school at all. Is the game tonight also cancelled?
TOLD YA!!!!!!!!
Now who thinks I am making things up!
Sikeston by 15+
Game is cancelled tonight against Kelly, Homecoming is cancelled and they are not making this game up!
"The Rematch"
http://www.showmecenter.biz/EventDetails...
What does Vegas have as the early line?? Will Neal E Boyd sing the anthem? Is Blake DeWitt coming back for this one?? Will there be an alumni game at halftime? Will the cheerleaders have facepainting before the game? What is the Over/Under attendance for the girls game at 6:30?? Inquiring minds wanna know!!!
Calm Down Redskirt... People do care about this game even if you don't!
HOOPS...you must a peeping Tom...Im actually wearing a red skirt today LMAO....
HOOPSIDIDITAGAIN
Who did Scott Central drop on their schedule to make room for this game?
I have to admit I thought you were joking when I read this report at noon Thursday. I didn't take you seriously until around 6 p.m. Thursday when more semoball.com fans started reporting the game would take place. I started sending text messages and contacting my sources around 6 p.m. By midnight, I was convinced your report was accurate. I don't know who you are. But I greatly appreciate the information you provided.
draw...I am pretty sure Advance is the team they will/have dropped.
Could someone define/explain the term over/under attendance?
Like in a football game or any game you can bet the Over/Under.
So, they say the Over/Under is 56 points in the Superbowl. You can bet if the score will go over 56 points or it will be under 56 points.
i got sikeston by 10+
mandm
Shouldn't you be working at 3:31 and 3:46? I guess that was a smoke break!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway...great response to the 5 questions!! I am still laughing about the Stubby Clapp and the General "Pants on the Ground" Platte line!!!!!!
That was the time that I set aside every day to stick it to the man and not work! LOL
Drawmules
Hoopsididitagain is normally full of s*&^ and likes to stir the pot, but he was right on with his prediction of the game. He and I have the same source....can't get any better than this source....and I certainly can't reveal it. I was going to confirm his statement, but events out of my control kept me from a computer.
It would behoove you to listen to hoops in the future.
drawmules, funny you should ask what over/under means...thought this might be of some help: http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?p=9176
FarmBoy06 peopleofwalmart.com is a great site, I go there everyday. If Sikeston and SCC play Feb. 10, when did they move the Caruthersville game to. I thought I heard it announced at a Sikeston game last week.
I'm wanting to say it was moved to the 17th of Feb, but don't quote me on that. Yes, it's a great site lol. Good stuff.
Don't let em' fool you draw. Hoops & Rocket just have a hard time admitting I was right on this and didn't actually want to say it was me that told them!
I have not seen sikeston play this year but scc plays this year without much depth. They win games by running up the score in the first half. That's why they lose to teams like Dallas-Lincoln and Notre Dame. So my pick this year is sikeston.
FarmBoy06
Are you sure that is over/under? It looks more like under/over to me.
Its over/under I'm sure
LOL
basketballfan33. Look at the link FarmBoy06 posted and you will get what I am saying.
But as you see earlier in the posts he talks about how can scc match up to sikeston size and depth and that is the perspective i also have
Sikeston gets whooped
Whooped? Against SCC? Are you serious? Have you watched both teams? Did you pay attention? Again, seriously?
Do we get Cover It Live for this game? Can you imagine how many people would leave comments on Cover It Live for this game?
Is anyone planning on taking a sleeping bag to the Show Me Center and sleeping in the parking lot the night before the game to ensure you will be close to the front of the line when the gates open for the game?
Last year people were showing up 4 hours before gametime, draw. But, I don't think it will be quite as crazy this time around, draw!
I think I am pulling my camper up on the 6th. Tailgating will start on the 7th! I wanna be the first in line for that knock down drag out girls game! I could care less about the boy's game! Who is playing again??
Which do you think has better attendance: the ND-Cape Central and Jackson-Cape Central games at SMC combined or Sikeston-SCC. I'm putting my money on Sikeston-SCC.
Who all will be there for the battle for 2nd place? If Scott County or Sikeston wants an advantage they could always call Coach Roberts and find out how to beat each other.
We'll find out soon enough if Coach Roberts can beat Sikeston a 2nd time.
At least Cookson and Hollifield know how to win a District Championship. Roberts may need a pointer or two on that. He isn't Hall of Fame material yet Beast Mode.
Cookson=0-1 vs ND
Hollifield=0-1 vs ND
kingjames=0 NBA Championships
FarmBoy, how do you deal with all of these cocky fans from your former school who only talk trash and never provide true insight?
Funny how Beast Mode ND makes a screen name out of something the Sikeston Football team used last year. You think with your parents paying tuition for you to go to school you could at least use proper grammar and capitalization!
I am guessing "sportsfanatic" lives in "s-towns" basement and the house actually belongs to "kingjames" which is located on property that "yah yah" owns. I am sure you all hang out and play twister while you take turns writing on here. Seriously, lol.
Ohhhh...I didn't think you would read that so early since you were moving on with your busy life!
5. New Madrid
this game will be to close to call, but im going for scc, just hope they dont have sikeston best 6th player ref bill calling the game
kmart, that's an excellent point! Sikeston wins every game because of Joe Bill! Seriously, is that all you could come up with? Try something intelligent next time.
Amen.... mandm.... if they will also remember, it wasnt Joe Bill that was standing in front of the last play...
Hey sportsfanatic
Is CW gonna be happy to see you this week or are you gonna be happy to see him?
s-town, I try to handle it like I do with fans from other schools who do pretty much the same thing...call them out on it, present facts...not much else you can do. I alread had a post aimed at an ND 'fan' on another thread deleted because apparently it was worded too strongly. Idiots are idiots plain and simple, it doesn't matter what school they come from.
What's funny is that I don't think any Sikeston fans are encouraged when they see Joe Bill calling a Sikeston game. I know I'm not, and I like the guy personally.
Although I doubt many Sikeston fans would say anything, and I doubt it would make a difference in the game, I don't think SCC's superintendent should ref this one.
Yeah I'll be there draw.
Please be nice to the officals everyone. Most of officals assigned to officate games north of Highway 60 are above average.
I think you would be surprised maybe of the number of officials that might decline doing this game!
Just so you know Mitch Woods picked the officals for last year's game. You know Mitch and Coach Hollifield were brother inlaws.
Yah I'm sure that's exactly why he picked who he picked for refs. Wish I would have thought of that in the first place, coulda saved my self 5 dollars and a trip to Cape.
So far in this conspiracy we have Joe Bill Davis and Mitch Wood. Any other secret agents we should know about?
Farm, I heard that Mitch Wood, Joe Bill and Greg Holifield went out after the game and invited a special guest! This is the official who had the no call at the end of the game *HARMON* and sang we are the champions at the #1 Karaoke Bar in Cape. Then after a few songs together decide they could rule the world!!!
Anything else these idiots need to know! Like the actual zip codes and addresses of their players! LOL
Go Sikeston!!!
I think it was the Butler in the Den with the Candlestick!
Sikeston fans can't take the truth.
"the truth" = Sikeston 86 - SCC 85
SCC fans can't handle the "TRUTH"
Sikeston +30
Now SCCFAN22 wake up... You're dreaming again! Just like last year when you thought you all would win!!
Goodluck on the +30 I would just try and stay within 15 of Sikeston on this night...
Earth to mr dumas Sikeston +30 means Sikeston will win by 30
Was told tonite Bobby is hurt out for 10 days. Everyone needs to save their money this year and stay home!
haha it sure does! I still think scc has a chance to win this game, don't count them out yet!
Nevermind! No chance LOL!
Well if this is true about bobby, i dont like SCC's chances very much. If this is the case, NMCC by 10+ on thursday
I really hope Bobby isn't out. Sikeston needs to see as much competition as possible leading up to districts. Not only that, but I love watching Bobby run the point.
Word I received was that he did tweak his ankle, but is expected to play tonight against Kelly.
Ok so Bobby will not be 100% Sikeston 25+
Beast Mode ND Coach Wright is the Scott Central Coach. Coach Cookson sits there for moral support. He isn't on the payroll nor does he conduct practice. He's too busy trapping!!
as an nd fan, i think joe bill has done a great job this year
Either way it goes, the fact that these schools are meeting AGAIN shows that there's some folk in the upper echelons of these school districts that have some sense and put by-gones where they need to be so that the kids can do what they do best.
Oh, if you didn't know, the girls teams of these schools will be the matinee this year at 6pm. Word has it that BOTH games will be webcast.
Ticket sales at noon of 2-3-2010 are 2000.
Notre Dame had 6'7 Helle and Tolbert under the basket, and Otto had 31.
Yep, 27 is under 30.
Oh good, you can count.
(here's hoping somebody gets that and chimes in with the response)
Nope, can't count, can read.
Shooter McGavin...
Dang...you disappoint me :).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idXZ4OIHK...
(I didn't type the quote right any way :P )
And *you* can count, on *me*, waiting for *you* in the parking lot.
Excellent. Good stuff.
Anybody have updated numbers on ticket sales?
Announced at Sikeston-PB game tonight that tickets are almost sold out. You could be sitting up higher than you expected.
Instead of Scott County Central playing NMCC at Memphis next year maybe they should play Sikeston at Memphis. The FedEx Center might be large enough to accommodate the crowd. I think it is unfortunate there is not a facility large enough in Southeast Missouri to accommodate the crowd.
I can hardly believe they sold 4-5K tickets in two days. I might be wrong, but it'd be very surprising.
Vince1550:Is the game gonna be Webcast??? Are you doin the game?
Talked to Shannon from the SMC about 2:30pm yesterday and he said that they were sitting just over 2,600 tickets sold. There are plenty of tickets left.
Thanks mandm.
Everybody really needs to be realistic about this game, one team is not going to go in and completely destroy the other, it's just not going to happen, people wouldn't buy tickets if they didn't think it would be entertaining. The talk of SCC losing by 30 has only started because they lost a game.
@RCIR - yes, I am doing BOTH games - girls and boys.
http://PCSoutheast.Webs.com - broadcast time on Wednesday is approx 5:50pm.
We will interview the superintendents of both school districts to talk about what's been happening academically.
Should be a great DH. First time seeing Sikeston this year since the Sikes/Jax game last season at the Fieldhouse (great facility I must say)
KFVS has been announcing on the news all week that they are also webcasting it just like last year. CAN'T WAIT!!!
Who needs a webcast when you have Cover It Live? Right Crader???
Last year everybody said SCC would beat Sikeston by 30 after Sikeston had lost the previous week. SCC had one stumble and all of a sudden everybody thinks Sikeston will destroy them. People need to get a reality check. This will not be a blowout. SCC is still SCC and this will be a great game that people need to come see. It could be the game of the year once again.
@semohoops - people forget that Ronnie Cookson is still on the bench @ SCC, albeit as an assistant. And whenever Cookson is in the house, one word - DEFENSE.
@respect - good to see Eli still in the mix. I like the way he attacks the basket. Consistent at drawing 3-point plays.
BTW, Caruthersville travels to Cape Central the night of the game - fyi.
BuckMajor - They got scholarships from the "University of Crushing all of These Bootheel Teams", that's all they need to worry about right now. I dont know if they will be playing basketball at the next level. We will see.
how many tickets have sold for this game so far?
Oh ok I see. Yea I guess that's all they need to worry about, forget the future! But yes I guess we shall see.
Exactly, buck. If they don't get basketball scholarships, they won't even let them into college.
Playing ball at the next level and going to school to get an education is two seperate things..i was all-state in track and field from my freshman to senior year and i went to school and came home for financial reasons and now im back in school but im not running track..
Who cares who went to college or who didn't. This should be a good game, I don't think it will be as good as last years but still a good game. Does anyone know if the game will be on KFVS12 webcast. I looked on their website and couldn't find anything.
Yes, the game is on the KFVS12 webcast schedule.
http://www.kfvs12.com/Global/story.asp?S...
man I went to sikeston to cuz for a minute! I used to be goin ham there! I live on sunset! I was just askin a simple question because I wasn't sure if they were being looked at by any colleges. I didn't really need a novel about why they should go to college but not for sports even though there great athletes. But thanks for the analysis I understand now ... I think!?
Yes, KFVS hasn't webcasted a HS game all season, but now they realize they can make a quick buck off of sponsors so they decided to pick this one up.
I find it funny buckmajor that New Madrid is being looked at for the first time in a LONG TIME and you've heavily regarded seniors who've we've cruished in all sports(football, basketball, wrestling,) this whole season. Here's a tip....get ready for next season. Sikeston.........
Let's hear what the Sikeston fans have to say now.
SSC 70 Sikeston 51. Maybe they will brag about beating our 8 girl basketball team.
But even if he had hit 10 3-pointers, I'm not sure Sikeston could've won.
igo..I think most of the knowledgeable Sikeston fans would have to say that SCC played a hell of a game! Myself included. They played a near perfect game and picked up the win. Congrats to them and Coach Wright and hopefully we will get to see them win another state championship.
