I thought I was told they will be in Park Hills. Does someone really know and what teams will be there.

lastride67....if you are referring to Sikeston, I KNOW that they will be in Hillsboro. I'm not exactly sure of the teams, however. I think someone said MICDS, but not 100% sure on that.

Portageville will be playing in the Festus Jamboree. I believe St. Pius X, Crystal City, and North County are also playing in that jamboree, but don't quote me on that.

I'm hoping those who attend tonight's jamborees can provide some thoughts on how all the teams did for people like me who live several hours away and can't attend any.

At SG Jamboree just watched SG Diminate PH!! Park hills 1 team offense gained 10 yds in 10 plays with 2 turnovers! SG offense scored on PH on 5 plays but did have 1 turn over! SG also played Desoto were they again dominated! SG is legit there O isn't even up to fire yet and were still marching it down field!! Our D looks SICK!!!!!!!! Gonna be a fun year!! Oh and PH had another Personal foul just saying!!!!

Just talked to a warrior fan they said Valle dominated PH!!!!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Fri, Aug 17, 2012, at 7:16 PM
SG's Qb looked better than I thought he would,to many dropped passes but its early. Valle looked realy good but lack of depth could hurt them, think they had 28 kids on the roster.SG had 2 starters on D not dressed, hope they play soon.
-- Posted by hb1025 on Fri, Aug 17, 2012, at 8:18 PM
Bleed Green must have been at a different Jamboree than I was. I thought all 4 teams looked mediocre.
I saw no "domination" out of anyone.
-- Posted by zachattack on Fri, Aug 17, 2012, at 8:25 PM
Hard to tell alot in these jamboree's,only have 12 off and 12 def plays against each team, basicly 2or3 drives in a game.
-- Posted by hb1025 on Fri, Aug 17, 2012, at 8:33 PM
Got an update from Hillsboro that Sikeston did not allow a single team to score while on defense between the three scrimmages. The Bulldogs scored on Union and MICDS and got to the 2 yard line against Hillsboro before committing a penalty. Gross threw a couple of picks at QB and needs some work but everything else seemed to go smooth. I am really excited to see this defense this year.

SG allowed Park Hills starting O to 10 yards on 10 plays with 2 turnovers! SG starting D looked Dominate! There Starting D played 22 plays had 2 int 1 fumble recovery and gave up 35 yards total and 0 TD!! Hello Zach that's pretty darn good!! PH let Valle score 2 and Desoto 1 and SG 1 thats 4 TD in 36 Plays! So I'd say SG D was Dominate!!! SG Did drop a few if not for that there passing game looked good! There running game that's a diff story!! I was pleased with the outcome

I just watched it again on video. Valle did put a hurtin' on Central...but Central moved the ball quite a bit and broke one for a long TD run / stiff-arm combo.
The only other comment that I am going to make about Central is that I have no idea who alot of those guys were. Completely new faces. Names I have never heard of. People stepping up into different positions. I saw some good things, but I didn't leave the place excited about Central at all. Just being honest. We'll see what next week brings.

I am out of town, but I just talked to my son who plays for Dexter. He said they dominated Kennett and EP while they played to a scoreless tie with NMCC. Sounds like the Bearcats had a great jamboree, esp. on defense. I don't think Dexter's D allowed any scores tonight. I was also glad to hear our OL played well. He also said our JV played pretty good as well.

At Ste. Gen. three teams were pretty close, thought Desoto was beaten on a little bit. PHills has a very solid line once again. Thought the Mumford boy, LT is good enough to play some college ball next season. He is 6'3 290. The Nephew boy is next to him and he has been around forever, a very good linemen. Mitchell stiff-armed a valle player and it was mortifying....PH didn't move the ball against SG but Mitchell may have only carried it one or two times against them. SG moved the ball well but wasn't consistant and had little running game for as big as their line is, was somewhat surprised. SG's def is very good and had two starters out, one I'm hearing is out for the year with a knee and he was a great player. Will hurt SG. Valle was very quick and will most likely return to the dome or come close in class 1. Even though they only have 5 seniors...Look out next year also...Desoto struggled most of the night. PH plays a tough Sullivan team,SG and Dexter will be a good game, don't think Dexter will score a lot against SG's def. and Valle will clobber their opponent.

@ Preacher - I too was at the Dexter jamboree. You son has the perspective of a high school kid. Nothing wrong with that, just skewed a little. I wouldn't say that Dexter dominated anyone. They did start well on offense against Kennett after that, there were good and not so good plays mixed in. The defense did allow a touchdown to both Kennett and EP (varsity drove down to the one yard line and jv punched it in). Dexter and NMCC was basically a stalemate. Overall, not a bad showing from the Cats but far from dominant.

Well as I said I was only reporting what he told me. Are you sure Kennett and EP didn't score against our JV defense?
-- Posted by Preacher Man Fan on Fri, Aug 17, 2012, at 11:27 PM
I agree Lurk #6 is the LB who is out for year! It's sad to see I know the kid has worked his rear off in the gym! But if you know SG football u know that he has had a few brothers that were injury prone as well!! The only good thing is is that it happened early that gives coach a time to find another player which I think he did!! Did anyone notice the reaction of coach stoltzer while his D was playing? He looked like the coach of old he was yelling jumping up and down getting all excited! That's something I havnt seen from him in a long time!! If Coach stoltzer is on his A game it could get ugly for his opponents!!!! Guess we will find out in 6 days!!!!!

Hey Zach! Would you happen to have a highlight video of the full jamboree?
I have 125 video clips.....every play that Central was involved in....and a few random shots.
Is there something in particular you are looking for?
Not really.. I just want to see some Missouri football. No dog in that fight!
Went to the Dyersburg,TN game last night! Just wasn't the same imo. Fans don't have the same passion as we do here in MO.
I have a 1:20 clip here:
