I'm not sure if that can be compared to your technique, but I'm betting it's going to be impressive kitty!

You should come to Sikeston and watch.. if not we will see you September 7th.

I'll be in Park Hills.

Sullivan Eagles @ Central Rebels.

My prediction is 44-28 Rebels.

-- Posted by zachattack on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:11 AM

Malden vs NMCC My prediction 20-12 Greenwave

Go Greenwave!

-- Posted by MaldenGreenwaveSports on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:21 AM

The NMCC/Malden game was a tough one for me to call.. Could go either way.

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:28 AM

I hear ya cheesehead even doe we lost our star QB to baseball we have some talented players and a very good Freshmen QB ready to play I think we can pull it out but it will be close

-- Posted by MaldenGreenwaveSports on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:34 AM

That's why I think it was a toss up. If Murphy were to play, I'd pick Malden by two td's. Malden will be a very young team going against an exp NMCC team. If this team from Malden can stay together the next 4 years, they should be a serious contender soon.

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:37 AM

NM by 8 (30-22)

-- Posted by MayorEagle on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:43 AM

I picked NMCC as well, by a touchdown..

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:46 AM

John Burroughs @ Central. JB has to many D1 players especially Elliot. They are to fast for Central. 42-6 JB.

-- Posted by AFvet on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:48 AM

I think NMCC will pull this one out, though prolly not by much. I don't they are experienced though, they are also very young, and will be starting quite a few sophomores, so it will be a very interesting game!

-- Posted by BuckMajor on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:57 AM

Portageville by 14 over st.pius x

-- Posted by Dirty Dan on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 10:01 AM

I'm sure your right Buck. I was just going off what the article said about them. They have 14 Seniors and 12 Juniors this year so that's why I said they were experienced, at least compared to Malden

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 10:02 AM

Bluff vs. union?

-- Posted by Tigers2638 on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 10:11 AM

It looks like NMCC's QB is about as experienced as the Malden QB. I picked Malden. Will be in Kennett tonight, hope my Blackcats can pull out another win!

-- Posted by mojo3 on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 10:18 AM

I'll be a little late to the central game. I'll be realistic. I know how centrals skill positions match up to the area as they return everything except a qb. There's been a lot of talk about cape's line and I have a high expectation for them as well. So that's what I'll be watching.

-- Posted by CapeAlum on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 10:25 AM

Yeah I completely understand that. You would think that since theyve been down for two years, that this years group would be more experienced. It's just that a lot of the seniors and juniors haven't played that much, and that the sophomore class is so good, that many of those seniors and juniors will not be starting. Our quarterback is a senior, but he has never taken a snap in a game before. Our recievers are seniors, but they also have never really started a game, and our three primary running backs, will be sophomores. I wish we could get a real good experienced group together. It will be fun wathcing this sophomore class grow and develop as football players!

-- Posted by BuckMajor on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 10:29 AM

Great to have Football Back!! I'd like to wish good luck to all SEMO teams "except Dexter haha" And maybe Park Hills as well!! Just playing Zach!! Have Fun tonight I know I will!!!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 12:56 PM

Oh and every week I usually Pick an upset I know I did last year on the other board!! My pick this week is Caruthersville I don't know if it's truly an upset but I think Cville pulls it out 38 to 35

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 1:00 PM

Not Really an upset there.

-- Posted by REDDIRT DOG on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 1:29 PM

Liberty is Ranked higher then Cville so technically it's an upset!! And not to mention Cville has got to travel 3 1/2 hrs!!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 1:35 PM

I will be in Ste. Gen tonight to watch Dexter hopefully pull the upset against the Dragons. I think the Bearcats will pull out a close one, 30-27.

-- Posted by Preacher Man Fan on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 2:22 PM

Time will tell Preacher Man! Don't forget to say high tonight! I'll be on 10 yd line by the chain link fence by scoreboard!! Have a safe trip!!!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 2:32 PM

Anyone hear about Sumner vs SV?

-- Posted by buyer beware on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 2:51 PM

Preseason rankings

-- Posted by REDDIRT DOG on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 4:00 PM

Mr. Foley, I will be attending the CT/JB game tonight. I think our Dogs will do just fine without me in attendance. Not only will I be saving some gas money, but I'm taking this opportunity to see if Central's D is as tough as advertised. GO DOGS!

-- Posted by DukePhan on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 4:07 PM

Give us a report if you can DukePhan. I'll be on Cover-It-Live getting updates from everywhere.

-- Posted by sideline starter on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 4:10 PM

I'll do what I can

-- Posted by DukePhan on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 4:23 PM

Appreciate it.

-- Posted by sideline starter on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 4:30 PM

Will be at Cape Central vs John Burroughs...

Outcome: John Burroughs---a whole lot

Cape Central----Very little

-- Posted by bulletman on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 5:08 PM

@ Central

It will probably a rough night for the Tigers...

-- Posted by DukePhan on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 5:30 PM

At half SG 34 Dexter !! I'm telling you guys this is the Best SG team in a long time! Our D is awesome!! Oh and the O is not to shabby!!!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 8:21 PM

Suppose to say Dexter 0 At half SG 34 Dexter 0

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 8:22 PM

SG looks good... Dexter is very inexperienced though, so hard to judge SG this early

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 8:27 PM

Ezekiel Elliot is a beast for John Burroughs...going to "The Ohio State University" and worth seeing play. Central hanging tough but can't catch a break...Special teams are having a bad night..Central down 29 to 7..

-- Posted by bulletman on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:11 PM

PORTAGEVILLE OPENS SEASON WITH ROAD WIN OVER ST.PIUS :34 - 14

GO DAWGS, BRING THE SMACK DOWN

KENNETT'S NEXT

-- Posted by sawdust49 on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:31 PM

The Central Rebels had a rough night. Sullivan defeated them 34-6. I have to take my hat off to Sullivan.

Farmington lost to Festus by 3.

Last I heard...Perryville was straight-up wrecking shop on their opponent...

.....this has been a weird WEEK ONE.

-- Posted by zachattack on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:42 PM

SG will be 8 and 0 when they show up in Cville!! Once again People talk Park Hills up and look what happens!! If SG offense puts it together they will see JB in the quarters once again that's how good they can be!!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:44 PM

Bleed Green---I'm watching JB play..This Elliot kid is amazing...Scored 4 touchdowns tonight..2 rushing, 1 on pass and 1 on punt return...

-- Posted by bulletman on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:49 PM

I wouldn't count out Caruthersville just yet.. They lost to a team that would beat any Semo team. No shame in losing to a better team. Hopefully they will learn from it, improve, and take care of business the rest of the season.

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:53 PM

Sikeston wins 27-14. I'll have a full breakdown of Class 4 District 1 late tonight or tomorrow.

-- Posted by sideline starter on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 9:56 PM

Ive watched Elliot for the last 4 years I know what he's about I knew they would pound Central! Cheese your right about loosing to a good team but I don't know about any SEMO Team Im telling you this SG team is the real deal!! Call me a homer but you wait and see there good!! What was final score of Cville game?

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 10:03 PM

Dexter and Mountain View are on totally different playing levels. Dexter is in a rebuilding phase, so they will take their lumps.. MVL is going for a state title, don't get excited about SG just yet.. Let them play a good team first lol.. I'm a homer as well.

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 10:05 PM

Bluff beats union 33-0W

-- Posted by Tigers2638 on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 10:17 PM

Think Thayers 21-6 win over Hayti should change the rankings a little bit.

-- Posted by South Central on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 11:09 PM

Perryville did an AMAZING job!! SO proud of the team & coaches!! Hard work and dedication pays off! No surprises here. 41-0. Once the jitters, and 1st touchdown was scored-they didn't look back! They played AS A TEAM! It was a beautiful sight!!

-- Posted by Guest21 on Fri, Aug 24, 2012, at 11:24 PM

Got to see some of the SG game and they do have a lot of talent but not JB talent. They will have to play well to beat Maplewood, #1 ranked team in small school St. Louis area. Also Caruthersville and PHills will be formidable opponents, not to mention Valle. Its possible that they could be 8-0 but a lot of things have to happen.Dexter is very young and will get better. I don't think this Dexter squad was half the team of last years Dexter squad but they will win a few games. Festus beating Farmington in my mind wasn't an upset. Farm lost the Farm last year and will rebuild. Sikeston has to hold on to the football better. How about those Pirates! Hayti? Are you kidding me....Park Hills picked a bad year to play Sullivan as they are a very good fb team. Cape will be back..Jackson will get it rolling as their younger classes are real good. Valle will roll tomorrow and have a nice dome run. PHills will be tough, they start out of the gate slow.

Cheese what was the numbers on Monroe?

-- Posted by mule1993 on Sat, Aug 25, 2012, at 1:29 PM

I do not know the numbers on Monroe but he did not accumulate 100 yards on the ground. I know he returned a kick off for a touch down (the only one that they kicked deep) and he dang near returned a punt for a touchdown.

This Tiger team lacks depth, Mt. View was subbing some toads in and out on that offensive line all night long. I think we have the team to win the rest of the regular season until we get to St. Genevieve.
